"A couple of nights away with the girls. The apartment was overall good. I should have checked when booking but there is no parking. The area Redlands is nice. The outside of the apartment needs tidying up. The beds and bedding were comfortable but when we went to make one of the beds into double (was a zip lock) the sheeting was filthy with bloody stains. The cleaner did come the next day to change the bedding but was a bit grim. The shower facilities weren’t great as the flow was very weak....

"Fabulous hotel in a deprived area. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room size generous with good amenities. Restaurant and bar excellent. Outside of the hotel Newport is dirty and deprived with no tourist experiences. Only positive is the short train rides to Cardiff and Bristol"

Great Stay

"Newport was busy as there was a conference being held at the time of my stay. My usual hotel was fully booked so I stayed at the Belvilla, I could only book the assisted room as it was all that was available. It was very clean with a nice size bed which was very comfortable, room was clean and well presented. Good quality bed linen and towels, loads of coffee and tea . I had a great nights sleep and had a nice cooked breakfast in the morning which was included in the room price. Staff were very friendly and check in was a dream, breakfast was very well run even though the hotel was busy with all choices available and freshly cooked."

Huge hotel

"Huge hotel with lots of different bars, restaurants and facilities. Can seem a bit impersonal and no cosy areas. Outside areas are lovely. Our signature room in floor 6 was very comfortable. No furniture in the balcony was disappointing. The business lounge was nice but only coffee and 1 glass of prosecco was free. Disappointed there was no food in the evening. At breakfast just coffee and croissants. Parking garage was convenient with lift to lobby but £20 per day was steep."

"My friend got locked in the bathroom but staff were prompt, staff friendly later on in the trip, room was nice and no issues. I stayed here after going to a concert in Cardiff and I wish I had stayed longer to make better use of the room and facilities etc."
