Located in the beautiful Heldebergs, This is a cute little house you will love.

This cozy house is decorated with a cute Adirondack theme. There is a bedroom and bathroom downstairs. The upstairs loft is a large master suite with a queen bed and a futon. Downstairs is the open living room and kitchen with an electric fireplace. There is a charcoal park grill and small fire pit in the back yard. This is a great place for a fall foliage or Romantic get away. It is located near and has lake access to Thompsons Lake and close to many hiking or mountain biking trails in John Boyd Thachers Park (including the historic Indian Ladder Trail). Bring a fishing pole, kayak, SUP, or canoe and enjoy a paddle on the beautiful calm lake, or just sit by the lake and enjoy the nature and beauty. Many other hiking trails are nearby including Wolf Creek Falls Preserve, The Winn Perserve (both in Knox) , and The Huyck Preserve in Rensseelearville. For a bite to eat, Maple On The Lake is a great place to eat and enjoy Warners lake and is less than 10 minutes away.
If you like brewerys there are many nearby: Heldeberge Mountain Brewery, Back Barn Brewery, Wayward Lane Brewery, Green Wolf Brewery, Wolf Hollow Brewery, Frog Alley Brewery to name a few.
Only 15-20 minutes away you can visit the Altamont Orchards in Altamont (with restaurant, brewery, and golf course) or Indian Ladder Farms in Vohreesville, an orchard, store, and brewery. In August you can go to the Altamont or Cobleskill Fair.

Located only 30 minutes from Albany, this location is ideal. In Albany you can visit the NYS Museum, The Capitol Building, or The Albany Institute of History and Art. About the same distance to the west is the cute little town of Schoharie where you can find The Carrot Barn and The Apple Barrel, two favorite spots for lunch and shopping.

If you want to venture out an hour, You can get to Sharon Springs (Beekman Store) Copperstown (Baseball Hall of Fame) Saratoga (SPAC, Track, Museums) and hiking in the Catskill Mountains.

Two hours away you can find Lake George, Herkimer Diamond Mines, Woodstock, Stockbridge Ma (Norman Rockwell Museum) and The great Adirondack Mountains.

Approximately 3 hours away you can get to Niagara Falls, New York City, Boston, Plattsburgh and more.

Idyllic cottage
Peaceful cottage in prime location. Fire pit and screened in back porch were very much utilized.The cottage came with most anything you would need. The Host was very responsive. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Start to finish, Simply Wonderful

Great location for exploring
The house is in a remote setting but is still a manageable drive to many sites like the impressive Opus 40, the Saugerties Lighthouse, Howes Caverns, Saratoga Springs, Albany and the nearby Thacher state park.

Such a sweet place
The owner has obviously really taken her time with and enjoyed the process of setting this cottage up for guests. Everything was so nice that my kids were ready to miss in! Beds are super comfy (even the futon!), plenty of towels, nice toiletries, etc. Really excellent. Looking forward to returning.

Perfect Getaway

My kids and I really enjoyed our stay. It is a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Just a short 5 min drive to thatcher park and lake access to Thompson lake. Enjoyable even in the middle of February. We would have stayed longer if we could have. Can’t wait to go back

Staying at this cabin was everything we hoped. Tucked away and with access to State parks, hiking trails, farms, wineries, and a short drive to Albany, Erika’s cozy cabin was exactly the escape we needed. The cabin is exactly as depicted, felt cozy, was well-kept, and was outfitted to recharge us. I’ll definitely book this listing again when I return upstate!

Cute cottage in the woods
This cute cottage lived up to it's reputation! Nestled in the woods just a short walk from Thompsons Lake and just a short drive to all parts of Thatcher Park. Inside the cottage was fully furnished, cozy and comfortable. Erika was kind, helpful and made our stay an enjoyable one.

October stay for wedding
We stayed in Erika's lovely cottage while we were in the area for a wedding in Altamont. It was very convenient to the venue and we had time to explore Thacher State Park. We had a few questions for Erika during our stay and she was very responsive.
