Whispering Pines is a beautiful, Pet-Friendly (Additional Pet Fee, Per Pet, Required. Limit 2 Pets) couples' cabin on privately-owned, wooded land, about 1 1/2 miles from Old Man's Cave, in Ohio's Hocking Hills region.

This cabin has a Queen Bed, a Wood-Burning Fireplace, Full Kitchen, Full Bath, Hot Tub, Sitting area and Deck, with a Charcoal Grill.

NOTE: No Internet Access at this property, at this time. We're trying to get it brought in, but it's not here yet.
There is a TV with a DVD Player, but No TV Service. (Bring DVD's)





Whispering Pines is a Beautiful, Private, Pet-Friendly (Additional Pet Fee, Per Pet, Required. Limit 2 Pets) cabin, on a scenic dead-end lane. 1½ miles from Old Man's Cave, in the Hocking Hills.

The cabin sleeps 2. It has a one-room layout (the bed is in the same room as the fireplace) and is perfect for couples.

It also has a Full Bathroom, with a shower tub.

Located in the country, it is also close to State Parks. It is about 9 miles from Logan, OH, which has shopping and restaurants.

The Kitchen is beautiful and fully equipped. Modern appliances, pots, pans, dishes....everything you need to prepare a favorite meal. It has a Coffee maker and microwave, too.

You can enjoy the scenic surroundings while relaxing in the Hot Tub!

The sitting area is cozy and comfortable and the romantic, wood-burning fireplace is sure to keep you warm.

Our stay was exactly what we were looking for, which was to unplug. No wi-fi or cell phone service was a bit more than what we were expecting, but was exactly what we needed. Sitting outside in the morning and evening was so peaceful. We stayed Monday through Saturday. On Friday, people started coming in more and there was a little more noise. We also had one time when we had trouble with the lock. We called the number given and they were out within minutes. Got it fixed while we were off enjoying the park. So maintenance is very responsive.

Absolutely perfect weekend getaway cabin
Couldn’t be more pleased with the cabin! Was exactly the right size for a couple to stay for a long weekend. Less than a 5 minute drive from Old Man’s Cave. Gorgeous setting, convenient, clean and beautiful. Would happily rent the same cabin again.

Great property
Very clean, very quiet and relaxing. Booked a short getaway to unwind and recharge, and this cabin fit the bill. Be aware, there's no internet, and therefore, no TV. DVD player is provided, and the property manager said they're working on getting internet into the property. In the meantime, leave your laptop at home, and dig out those old DVD's!

Too Damp
It was not quiet. Between the running of the air conditioner and the dehumidifier it was LOUD. So much for peacefulness. The back porch could have been blown off and the table washed off. The bed felt really damp due to the humidity in the cabin. They need to install a traditional furnace and hair with dehumidifier on it so it’s less noisy and the renters don’t have to dump the dehumidifier. We dumped twice!!

The property was great and secluded and clean. Could use some hooks in the bathroom for wet towels, etc. kitchen utensils were sparse but doable to cook. Unfortunately, on our last day we had no power or water due to the electric company trimming trees from a helicopter about 30 feet from the back of the cabin. It was very unnerving and we understand management had no control. We messaged them about the issue and kind of expected an apology or offer of a credit for the inconvenience, but did not receive one. It did put quite a wrench in us trying to pack and clean up and really was a downer at the End of a great stay.

It was a nice place to stay. A couple of suggestions though. The cupboards were pretty bare and usually when we stay at cottages, there are some basics there such as salt, pepper, etc. The cleanliness was ok. Not much communication with owners. When I did call, they just referred me to the list already provided so my question really never was answered. Overall it was good for the price. Would stay again, but now know to bring everything you need including salt, pepper, etc.

Hocking Hills get away
The location of the property is great in regard to the parks. Very clean. The two porches and hot tub were great. Cabin was a little difficult to find. Cabin is inside a development and the development name was not on directions. Suggest to add it. There were no reading lamps in the cabin, but the owner delivered them within hours of request.!! :)) MINOR suggestions to make the cabin more "homey / comfortable. Add a spare blanket. Add a few classic board games to play. Have a few "oldie/ goldy" DVD's to watch. Add measuring spoons / cups for cooking. Maybe a simple spice rack. Especially salt and pepper (glad we brought it). Otherwise we give the property and owner a high rating !! Thanks !!
