"We had a perfect holiday here! The house was clean, well equipped to cook and spend the days. Small excursions to Koper, Izola, Piran, Cerkno as well as the surrounding small villages made this place a perfect destination to travel from. "The Villa Maria is amazing, we had a thoroughly relaxing time. The pool was very well used by us all but especially my 2 children, the Villa has everything you need for a stress free holiday. You definitely need a car as it is so remote but in our opinion this added to the charm. The owners Valmi and Andreja were fantastic throughout. I would highly recommend the Villa Maria, my youngest is 9 and she loved it. I would definitely stay again. Thank you Valmi and Andreja."

"I love the area. Plus my family lives around there so it's convenient. Bus transport is great. And it's a 15-20 minute walk downtown. I did not like my apartment. I had 3 windows facing an airshaft and one with light and air. I should have requested a different apartment but I think I was just too tired from the trip."

"Really nice place to stay. Our room was very small but we knew this in advance. We were there during a heatwave so the pool was amazing. The airconditioning is also great. Breakfast is good, really nice pistachio croissants. The restaurant next to the hotel is a nice place to eat. Only negatives thing would be that the hotel is a bit noisy, you can hear people in the hallway in the morning for example. "

"Nice little apartment; very centrally located but a bit far from the main train station. It’s close to the main square , canal and port which was useful to us as we had a cruise booked . We stayed two nights but there were only two coffee pods and no explanation of how to use the machine . Some milk would have been nice as well . "We stayed in Lina's place for 6 nights late July/early August. The weather was gorgeous and the pool was perfect for our family. We were greeted by Lina who showed us how everything works. She lives next door so is on hand for any issues that arise. She doesn’t speak much English but we got by using hand gestures and Google Translate. She had kindly gifted us a bowl of fruit and some cold drinks when we arrived which was lovely of her and a pleasant surprise. The rooms were cool as the air...

"Die Wohnung ist sehr komfortabel (Betten, Couch) und großzügig geschnitten. Der Balkon so groß, dass wir darauf spazieren gehen konnten nach dem Essen. Bei offenem Fenster hört man die Strasse ein wenig. Gute Bäckerei und Supermärkte sind nicht weit. Die Klimaanlage hat auch als Heizung wunderbar funktioniert, das ist schließlich nicht selbstverständlich. Wir würden wieder kommen."

"The hotel was located outside of the main tourist area but was a very easy walk from it. The apartment living space was large but the kitchen was small if one had the intention to actually cook in it. However for coffee, use of a refrigerator and a light breakfast, it was fine. I appreciated the washer at this point on our trip and it worked well. Parking was about a 10 minute walk away on mostly flat ground. The Pri Mari restaurant next door was very good. "

"Very nice villa in a great part of Istria for trying wine and eating great food. It is next to a really good local restaurant and their wine shop/ bar. You can reach Umags very chilled beaches in 20 minutes easy drive. Other wineries can be reached after a longer walk or short drive. The property had really good set up with loads of glasses, plates and pans. Definitely recommend."

"The apartment was so spacious! The upstairs of the family suite had its own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen area was spacious and had what we needed for late night snacks and drinks. The check in is at a hotel in a separate building but it wasn’t much trouble. However, I highly recommend valet parking. Street parking in all of Trieste is a total nightmare "
