The main attraction of this hotel is the location and price. The room is OK, certainly not the worst I've stayed in. The bed was comfortable, the room and bathroom were spacious, everything worked.
The staff are a little standoff-ish, but if you're nice to them, they're OK.
There can be a fair amount of noise - sound proofing is not a feature of this building. Luckily there was only one adjoining room to ours and it didn't cause us too much stress, but it's something to be aware of.
There is indeed black mould growing in places in the room. It didn't cause us any issues, but if you're sensitive to it, it could be a problem.
The free breakfast is really pushing the boundaries of being a 'breakfast' to the point where it's very nearly false advertising, which was disappointing but not unexpected, having stayed in similar hotels in the past.
There's no bath mat in the room and the hot water took some time to come through, but the shower was warm otherwise.
Over all, I would probably stay again because it's "not that bad", but it wouldn't be my first choice.
