"The cottage was a lovely place to stay. The property was very quiet and presented exactly as the listing described. We had everything we required and everything was clean and tidy. The pool area was lovely. There wasnt really anything in the village but the nearest town was only 10 or so minutes away. There was a supermarket and petrol station and a market. Was definitely somewhere i could return too. The hosts were lovely as well and sorted any small problems we had quickly. All in all would...

"The gite was wonderful, everthing possible was there for the guests use….torch, matches, cleaning products, extra toilet rolls etc. We were welcomed with the most amazing pack of food products including beer & wine. The bed is super comfortable with additional blankets if needed, the large shower is great as well. The area/local towns were a little too quiet for us but we made the most of it….and it is out of season. "

"Zeer rustige omgeving. Ideale locatie voor mooie wandelingen. Het zwembad was enkel toegankelijk in juli en augustus voor een additionele kost. Dat staat niet vermeld op de website. Frédéric was een zeer vriendelijke host waar je altijd terecht kon en bezorgde ons een heerlijk aperitief en verse eitjes."

"We enjoyed a lovely week at the Gite. The house was a very comfortable , cool, converted barn with a well equipped kitchen / dining room and a nice outside space for eating too. The pool area was lovely - very clean and peaceful. The bathroom is relatively basic with only one (separate) toilet. Lovely comfortable beds and beautiful surrounding countryside. "We all loved our time at Nicholas’ house. There is so much to do at the house and it is surrounded by a wall which makes it very easy to be with young families. We picked the vegetables and fruit, fed the chickens and absolutely loved spending time in the river. The pool is beautiful and the house is homely and elegant with everything you need for a happy and easy stay. Nicholas was extremely communicative and kind. We would love to come back again as a group or with others - thank you so much."

"This was our second holiday this year at the mill and we will keep returning. Everything you need for a holiday has been thought of, beautiful mill and extensive gardens. Can highly recommend using the patio at the side of the property for meals, very relaxing with views across the river/land. You have access to use herbs/tomatoes etc from the garden which is such a lovely idea. Easy drive to food shops and literary a short walk to Château de Dampierre-sur-Boutonne which is definitely worth a visit. There is also a small shop that sells local crafts/art/honey which is such a fabulous idea to support the local people. The owner Yohann as always was very welcoming, excellent communication prior and during the stay if you require his assistance. He ensures your time at the mill is as enjoyable as possible. You won’t regret booking this gem of a property. "

Beautiful house, tranquil stay, wonderful hosts!

"We booked the farmhouse for 5 nights for a holiday with friends and we didnt want to leave! The farmhouse is perfect for a group of 8 people, beautifully decorated, plenty of space and catered for all. Children can play freely and safely in the play area, games barn and in the fields, whilst the adults can relax. The bbq and outside area is so relaxing and perfect for all your meals. The swimming pool is wonderful, recently renovated, and cleaned every evening. It's a short car ride to the local boulangerie to get your morning croissants and bread and you have some lovely towns to visit nearby too. Louis, Lauren and their children are the perfect hosts - helpful, friendly and always ready to cater for your needs. Thank you for all your hospitality and beautiful home guys! "

"From the initial communication with the owner to our departure after two weeks of relaxation everything was ideal. We found the property very authentic, comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped. The location perfect for us as we love rural France. We will definitely consider returning here again"
