Summary:
Enjoy cool, coastal bliss at this beautiful 3-bedroom home in Looe. Soak up views of the water and surrounding woodland from the comfort of your terrace - or most rooms in the house. Set off on pretty walks straight from your door, and follow the estuary down into the town for a spot of shopping or dining. When the weather turns, settle into your cosy living room with the wood burner roaring, it’s just as lovely on the inside as on the out. Private parking is available and dogs are welcome.
The Space:
The property has 3 double bedrooms, two of which are upstairs and one is downstairs. The master upstairs has an ensuite with a toilet but no shower, and the full bathroom is downstairs with toilet, bath and separate shower.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire property.
The Neighborhood:
Trevannion is situated literally opposite the water's edge. From here, you can walk along the estuary into town where you will find a great selection of shops, cafes and pubs. The seaside town of Looe keeps visitors entertained all year round whilst still retaining a working fishing port. Stand on the quayside in the evening and watch the boats return before dining on fresh fish in a local restaurant. The town prides itself on its fresh fish, so it's not difficult to find award winning fish and chips! We'd suggest trying The Old Sail Loft, Smugglers Cott and The Sardine Factory for dinner - but do book as it can get very busy in high season!
Looe Beach is a great spot for families, offering soft golden sand and safe swimming conditions. We'd also recommend taking a trip out to Looe Island, once a holy pilgrimage site now a a sanctuary for rare plants and wildlife. It’s here you’ll find a grey seal population sunbathing on the rocks!
Looe is also a great place for walking and the South West Coast Path passes right through the town. From here, you can walk all the way to Seaton or south to Polperro. You're in a brilliant spot to explore Cornwall's gorgeous south coast. Within a 25-minute drive, you could be on the white sand beaches of Lantic Bay and in 45-minutes in bustling Fowey. Or better, drive 25 minutes to Polperro and get the ferry over to Fowey!
Getting Around:
Due to the remote nature of Cornwall, we would suggest visiting with a car. That being said, the property is conveniently located within walking distance of many of Looe's amenities including the beach and harbour. There is a private parking space around a 50m walk from the property with space for 2 vehicles.
There is also a train station in Looe with regular trains running to Liskeard. At Liskeard, you can pick up one of the regular trains that runs from Penzance to London Paddington - stopping off at Exeter St Davids, Bristol, Bath and Reading.
Other Things to Note:
Please note, logs for the wood burner are only provided from October to March.
Access to the house is steep and may not be suitable for those with mobility limitations.
Interaction with Guests:
