A beautiful stone-built Grade ll Listed Threshing Barn conversion, with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. The Threshing Barn is one of four cottages at East Trenean Farm, offering high quality comfortable accommodation, with modern facilities. The three-bedroom cottage is ideal for families and friends, with the added luxury of a hot tub and private garden. A place to relax in a ‘get away from it all' location, yet only 3 miles from the fishing town of Looe and its beach.

Threshing Barn is a beautiful two storey cottage with original features including thick stone walls and exposed wooden beams. Families are welcomed and our cottage is suitable for children. For those with babies and toddlers on request we can provide items for during your stay which include a travel cot, highchair and stair gates, so to lighten the load when packing! On the paddock field we have play equipment for our families to enjoy including a range of swings with a baby seat, a ‘ship' climbing frame with a play cabin below and a wave slide, football goals and plenty of grass to run around on or even play cricket and have a picnic! Our hens are free range, enjoying the gardens and fields, and provide eggs for our welcome baskets. Our young visitors (and grown-ups) are welcome to help ‘call in' and feed the hens with corn each evening.

The private garden has lawn and beds stocked with perennials and flowering shrubs, a picnic bench with parasol, as well as a charcoal BBQ. Perfect places to enjoy a morning coffee or to enjoy the late afternoon sunshine with a glass of wine! The hot tub seats 6 and is a perfect place to relax - maybe after a day walking, exploring or surfing. We ask that you bring your own swimming towels.

We use environmentally friendly cleaning products at East Trenean Farm and look after our gardens and land in a way as to protect wildlife. Our tap water comes from our own spring-fed borehole, which is filtered, and UV treated. So, no need to buy bottled water while here, our spring water is on tap!

Our guest car park has EV charging points for each cottage and storage for guest equipment such as bikes and kayaks.
The farm fields are grazed by sheep, so sorry, no dogs.

Fishing trips can be booked from the harbour along with boat trips along the coast. Enjoy the sandy beach or explore the narrow streets and discover the unique shops and cafes.

For those that enjoy outdoor activities, kayaks and paddle boards can be hired from Looe beach. Nearby Adrenalin Quarry has a Water Park, Gravity Park and a Racetrack. There is horse riding and trekking locally in the beautiful Cornish countryside. For cyclists there are tracks suitable for all levels nearby and trails in the Camel and Tamar Valleys. Looe Golf course is less than a mile away with spectacular views.

For walkers there is the extensive and dramatic SW Coastal path with dramatic cliff top views and secluded coves to discover. Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor and their many pathways with locations that have inspired writers, are ready to explore. BodminMoor has been designated an International Dark Sky Landscape, an opportunity to see the wonders of the night sky.

Easter Break bliss
The home beat all our expectations. The home was so clean, every room felt new. A lot of thought has been put in, little things like a good selection of books, Wii unit and games for the kids, a Fireplace with logs, as it was easter even an easter egg. We had planned to spend most of our time experiencing Cornwall, the kids insisted they wanted one day at home enjoying all the home. Ended up spending the day enjoying the farm, books, Wii, a load of board games (in front of the log fire) and finishing the night stargazing in the Hot Tub. Big Thank you to Gareth and Jane

Amazing
The whole experience was amazing. Contacted to ask if we could check in early as we had a long journey with children and there was no problem. Turned up to the property meeting Jane who was absolutely lovely who showed me around and said if there is anything that we need to let them know. The whole barn was amazing the cleanliness and the views are to die for. Myself and my children and children really enjoyed staying here. They have a little park that the children can also play in which is amazing. We shall be staying again. Even my friends want to go and stay there. I would 100% recommend this property. Lovely weekend get away

Perfect weekend break
There were 6 of us, we had to defer our planned break due to covid. But the managers were so helpful and considerate to our needs, we were able to rearrange our booking. We arrived at the cottage and were absolutely wowed by the property. It really exceeded our expectations, we were greeted by Jane and she showed us around to our beautiful, spotless and spacious home for the weekend. The location is ideally suited to be able to go off and explore, or to stay and relax in our private hottub.

Threshing Barn, lovely accommodation
Threshing Barn was lovely, clean, spacious and well equipped. Graham and Jane were very welcoming and helpful. Our three generations of family were all well impressed with the property from the eighty year old to the grand children in their twenties, we all loved our holiday here. The hot tub was well used every day! Felt very COVID safe. Well located for touring South Cornwall and North Cornwall just over an hours drive away. Well recommended .

Spotlessly clean and spacious accommodation, greats hosts
We really enjoyed our family holiday at the Threshing Barn. It was spotlessly clean and provided spacious accommodation for the six of us. After exploring Corwall during the day it was so good to relax in the hot tub and the huge open plan living room. The hosts Jane and Graham were very friendly and welcoming and gave great advice on what to do and where to go etc, we had no issues whatever, we had a much appreciated holiday after a long lock-down!

What a beautiful holiday home the threshing barn is, it was absolutely perfect, the whole estate is something else, perfectly maintained. We loved the hot tub and we was in it every evening, it’s lovely and private. The cleanliness of the home was also five star it was literally spotless on our arrival. Both Graham and Jane are excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them , they gave us excellent recommendations on things to do and see in the local area.

East Trenean Farm
We had a fantastic stay at the farm. we stayed in the 3 bed Threshing barn. Meeting Graham the owner he told me the history of the barn- where the corn was cut The barn was premium quality . Full height in the living room with exposed beams made it light and airy. A massive living area. The original wall at the far end made the room look even better. The room benefits from a log burner and radiators.A tv and a wii with a few games are available for entertainment 3 ample size bedrooms are available on the ground floor. the main is ensuite. All the rooms we made up lovely and followed the main room in the premium feel A major plus is the 6 person 'proper' hot tub - we all made use of this.A real high quality item A lovely peaceful setting away from it all. lovely views of the countryside. The farm is about 3 miles out of Looe. its not walkable as it is a fast road with no path which was a slight shame. parking in Looe was £5.80 day or free after 6 pm. The coastal walk from Looe to Polperro absolutely stunning. We throughly enjoyed our stay at East Trenean farm. Great hosts , immaculate quality accommodation resulted in a fantastic few days away. The hosts were busy busy making sure everyone enjoyed their stay. We throughly reccomend the the farm for a quality relaxing break holiday Thankyou Graham and Jane for a great time away

What an incredible holiday cottage... The photos don't do it justice! Lovely converted barn in a beautiful setting - 10 acres of grounds to walk around and explore... Hot tub was the perfect temperature when we arrived, fresh eggs and treats in the kitchen... Lovely welcoming hosts... What more could you need? The beds were super comfy and the cottage had everything we needed... We'll definitely come back.

Great Trip
The property was lovely, with fantastic accommodation, spectacular views, in a great location, surrounded by fields. There are four properties there but all have their own private outdoor areas, as well as patios overlooking the lovely central courtyard garden. Jane and Graham were very welcoming and had made all the necessary COVID preparations and kept us fully informed at all times.
