In the quaint Baja town of Loreto, this newer 3 bedroom home is located only steps from the beach and the amazing Sea of Cortez. The home is fully equipped and has all the amenities including air conditioning, two lovely terrace areas, one on the rooftop with amazing panoramic views of the ocean, palm trees, and the La Giganta mountains. Finished with the best of Mexican workmanship, the limestone and Mexican tile makes the home warm and inviting.
You are in the town of Loreto where Mexican people live and work. It is not a resort area. We love seeing the children going to school in their school uniforms and the unique local performances in the town square. The Mexican people are friendly and lovely.
I am available via email, text or phone call and have a local property manager available in person if need be.
The location of Casa de Perla is truly one the biggest advantages of this home. The home is located on the North end of town, which is a quiet oceanfront suburb full of upscale homes. However, the oceanfront Malecon is located only 2 blocks away, and leads to some of the best restaurants in town about 8 blocks away leads you to the heart of the town square, hosting more restaurants, taco stands, the bank, ice cream shops, salons, and shops full of Mexican souvenirs.
You have full access to the fenced property and home. There is nobody else staying there.
The home was designed by owner Dan, working with a local Mexican architect and draftsman. It is a unique teardrop shape with 2 of the walls being rounded. The ceilings are higher giving a feeling of roominess.
There is comfortable furniture and the kitchen features stainless appliances and even a dishwasher. It is also very well equipped with all dishes, pots, pans and utensils. One bedroom on the first floor has a Cal-King sized bed (6' wide and 7' long) and the bedroom on the main floor has a queen size bed. The 3rd bedroom is on the 3rd floor with brand new queen size bed.
One bathroom is conveniently located on the main floor, accessible from both bedrooms with separate doors. It features 2 sinks and a roomy shower. The second bathroom with sink, shower, and toilet is on the third floor. It is the ensuite for the 3rd floor bedroom.

The home was finished construction in 2010, and was insulated with a new technology of foam block, making it soundproof, as well as warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. The property is fenced with large gates, so you can park your vehicle or boat securely.
Some of our guests walk everywhere but most enjoy having a vehicle to explore the amazing areas and beaches nearby.

Nice location, cleaning could have been better eg: old coffee grounds in the filter still. But overall was fair. Unfortunately neighbor is building a house sitting on the deck with saws and hammers going is tough. Bottom line we would go back.

Quiet rest
This property is comfortable and has all the things you need. It is close enough in that we never needed transportation except from and to the airport. Stairs are involved but that also gets you up high enough to have a viewscape.

Total relaxation
This tower of a home is unusual and yet very comfortable. Jan in Canada and Claudia locally were great to deal with. The views are spectacular - from the Gigantes Mts to Carmen Island. Lots of stairs but they have excellent handrails and lighting. The 15 minute walk to the Historic Plaza and restaurants helped us stay fit and digest all the excellent food. Loreto is such a friendly, safe town. This was our third visit. Each time we stayed for two weeks or more. Hopefully we'll be able to come visit again!

Great a/c, good location, pleasant stay.
We were very comfortable & cooked most meals at home. A/C works well, we were very comfortable. Claudia responded super fast with any questions we had. We would stay again . We shared Casa de Perla with another couple and it worked out perfect. Our friends had the top level and we had the bottom bedroom. The communal area was in between. (kitchen and living room). The house was secure and comfortable with all the basic needs. The location was great on the north end of Loreto, just a short walk to the beach and town. Our hosts were gracious and generous.

Great Stay
We had a nice stay. The home was well equipped with everything we needed. There is a nice beach across the street and the walk to the marina is short. The home was clean and comfortable. The patio off the kitchen was a nice place to enjoy dinner if dining in, and the top floor balcony was a great place to enjoy the sunrise with a cup of coffee.

Comfortable living quarters.
We would like to have had a map of Loreto, showing restaurants, plus phone numbers for taxis. The washer and dryer were hidden in back of the house, not easy to find. We walked everywhere, not worried about safety, but it was about a 20 minute walk to town center.

My husband and I loved Casa la Perla. It was clean, safe, and quiet. It was a block from the beach which was really great for walking the dog, and for meeting new dog and people friends. The house had great views from the second floor deck and 3rd floor terrace. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals, including a coffee grinder (very important!) We loved the secure yard where we could let the dog out in the morning. Communication with host was good. It is close enough that you can walk to the malecon and plaza in 5-10 minutes. We will definitely stay here again!

3 weeks at Casa del Perla
Spent three weeks in December in this lovely, well cared for home. The online description is completely accurate. Kitchen is fully stocked with modern appliances, plus all the dishes and utensils you would ever need. The deck off the kitchen/living room also has a gas grill and an outdoor patio table with 4 chairs. The only change from the photos is the two loungers have been replaced with Adirondack chairs. We had a few days where it was too windy or cool to spend time on the beach but the deck was a wonderful sunny spot to relax and enjoy! English speaking TV is available with Netflix and You Tube and was a treat on those cool and rainy days. The town square and the main grocery stores are about a 15 minute walk away and the beach cut through is less than two blocks. Laundry facilities were on the ground floor, in good working order and much appreciated during our stay. Jan was a great host and very responsive to any questions. Her property manager Claudia was even more attentive and handled all our inquires and requests dealt with in a timely manner. We would highly recommend this home in Loreto, whether you’re planning to stay for a few days or few months! Great value for the money! Others have mentioned the large population of dogs and we agree with their comments, but other than having to watch where you are walking at times, they were just another part of the experience.

2 week vacation - 4 days in Loreto
Rental was easy. Location is a bit confusing due to street sign issues, especially to local taxi and tour operators. There are a few minor house issues we PM'd to the owners. We located some Ex pats that provided excellent supporr with transportation, including a 4 seat golf cart :) We also located a private chef who cane to the house one evening and prepared a 4 course meal, complete with cleanup!

Amazing Solo stay!
Casa La Perla is an amazing casa! The casa is very accommodating. Kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. There is a bbq for grilling. Appliances are very nice. Comfortable furniture and the king bed is quite comfortable. User friendly tv and WiFi is good. Amazing decks with view of the sunrise, sunsets, moonrise, full moon set and the beautiful Sea of Cortez. Convenient to walk to the beach, malecon, restaurants, stores and shopping. Some may prefer to rent a car. It is a gated yard that is full of local trees and plants. The only concern for me was that the drive through gate is huge and was very hard to slide open and shut. If you have two people in your party it would be easier. But I felt very safe even when leaving the gate open. I would recommend Casa La Perla to anyone wanting to experience a very nice Mexican casa!

Super Location and Amazing Views
Casa Perla is located very close to Playa Negrita and the Malecón. The house has abundant patios for soaking up the sunsets. It’s also very well equipped. Jan has thought of everything and all appliances and amenities are in excellent condition. The local manager, Claudia, is available at a moment’s notice and makes sure everything is perfect. Couldn’t ask for a better stay!

Secure, clean and beautiful
We stayed for a week with our dog in the middle of a 5 week road-trip. The lot was gated with plenty of space for our truck and very secure. Easy walk to the beach, malecon and town square. Comfortable rooms with A/C, nice kitchen with fresh water and great balconies to relax on. We had a great stay!

Hidden gem
This place is fantastic. The view was great. It was quite and relaxing. It’s close enough to town you can walk if you want. I preferred to drive. The bedroom upstairs gave us privacy and the bed was really comfortable. I am definitely staying there again.

Good place but had a problem with the owner
Most things were good about our stay at this property. It was clean and we enjoyed the location and the layout of the house. The local manager was responsive and friendly. However , it is now 2 months since we checked out and we have yet to receive our refundable damage deposit . We did everything that was asked of us, including cleaning the house before we left and mailing the key back promptly. When I didn't receive my damage deposit back, I contacted the owner 3 times. She said she would look into it , that VRBO was responsible for issuing the refund, and that she would get back to me. When I didn't hear back from her, I contacted her 2 more times and had no response. After a month, I contacted VRBO. They said that it was the owner's responsibility to issue a refund and that they did not mediate disputes. It's frustrating to say the least. We left the house clean and didn't cause any damage whatsoever. We paid a good chunk of money for our 21 day stay. I expect to receive my damage deposit back in a timely manner. I am frustrated that VRBO/ Homeaway is set up to collect the rent, but not to help when there is a problem.

This is our 2nd stay and we'll be back. This home has everything to make your vacation fun and relaxing. The washer and dryer are a nice bonus, (you can pack less), it's nice to bring clean clothes home too! Fantastic location, close to the beach and shopping. Jan is very responsive and friendly.
