Apartment at ground floor: large living room, TV, with single sofa bed and dining area with kitchen (oven, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, toaster), double bedroom with four-poster bed, bathroom with tub and shower. Private space outside with stunning view of the valley. The apartment is ideal for a family with kids.

Close to Florence and Arezzo, the apartment is set in a very beautiful old farm CasaForte, restored in 2009.

The apartment is located in Villa Casaforte resort, there are other 4 holiday apartment inside the villa that share the external area

Important:
* There is a deposit of 300€ to pay in cash at arrival, refundable at check out if no damage has been done to the apartment

For wine lovers:
The owner Claudio Vassanelli is from Valpolicella(Verona) where he produce fantastic wines, like Amarone and Ripasso. You can buy it at Villa reception at good prices, and compare it with Chianti wines.

Useful tips: All you need is located in Loro Ciuffenna, an incredible preserved village, far 2,5km. Markets, shops, restaurants, pizzeria, ice cream shops, bike rental, wine shops, bank, groceries, petrol station and pharmacy.
In Loro Ciuffenna there is also a visitable and working old mill where you can buy also their products. Great fun for kids and also adults.

In addition to normal turistic routes to the Chianti or Florence, Loro Ciuffenna area offers also day trips to Pratomagno mountain, with his hamlet, ruins, panoramic roads, mountain restaurants, old grocery shop and memorable views of Tuscany. The road to Pratomagno start from Loro Ciuffenna center and arrive to Croce del Pratomagno, where you can reach the highest peak (at the cross). Vila Casaforte Loro Ciuffenna
Beautiful location, very peaceful, and ideal for the Chianti countryside. The apartment was well appointed and maintained, and spacious, and ideal for our visit to Tuscany. We would recommend it highly and would certainly revisit.

Memorable and magical
We had the most wonderful time here. We came for our honeymoon, and it was such a perfect choice. The apartment was very spacious, and we were impressed at how high-end all the kitchen and bathroom fixtures were. The pool and grounds are an oasis, and the view of the sunsets over the olive groves are something out of a painting. Lucia went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, comfortable, and cared for. The house is not too far from local towns, including Michelin listed restaurants, but we were also grateful for Lucia’s suggestions to get some groceries on the way in. We definitely loved our time here and will hope to return ASAP

Lovely setting, we had the less expensive room on bottom level which was rather cold and didn't have much of a view of the beautiful landscape. Lucia the property manager was pleasant to work with, and responsive to our needs: for example our electrical converter didn't work for my hair blow dryer and Lucia brought one for me to use next day. The temperatures were cooler and humid so it was chilly at night but due to Italy government rules, they were not allowed to turn the heat on for us but did bring a space heater. There is a beautiful outdoor pool which we didn't get to use due to the cooler temps. We would recommend trying a room on the second level.

Peaceful stay at Casaforte
We returned to Casaforte for the beautiful views and a wonderful combination of rest and adventures in Chianti wine region. Highlights of our stay were relaxation in the sauna and pool, peaceful sunsets and our dinner at the nearby restaurant, Le Pietre Serene. Lucia is friendly and responsive and made our stay very comfortable. Ciao, arrivederci!

Heavenly retreat, breezes and winding roads
As we made our through the gates and up the Cyprus-lined driveway we knew we had found a beautiful retreat for our vacation to Italy’s Arezzo and Chianti region. Lucia greeted us and though we needed some help from Google translate (since we don’t speak Italian well), communication was no problem and she helped orient us to the property where we quickly felt at home. The Moro apartment is spacious and well appointed with a full kitchen, 4-piece bathroom and comfortable king bed. Lots of room to unpack your suitcase and feel at home. The property has been beautifully renovated to retain the old charm and provide modern conveniences. We awoke to sunshine every morning with the swallows flying about - a breathtaking view of the valley from our bedroom window. The rooster at the nearby farm crows all day! On the first day we stocked up on groceries from the Coop (they have everything you need) in Montevarchi - take one euro for the cart. During our stay we explored San Gigmignano and Volterra (beautiful places and very busy), and Siena (we had an excellent detailed, guided walking tour there). Our favourite days by far we’re exploring the Chianti region first by renting road bikes in Gaiole (we cycled to Radda and Castellina and returned), then the next day we returned by car to Greve and Radda. Distance by car is just under 1 hour to Grève or Gaiole, the drive is winding and beautiful. Each day we happily returned to this peaceful retreat to cool off in the pool. Temperature in early June was some days as hot as 32C so a swim was very refreshing. We often made our own meals and ate on our patio overlooking the valley. We also tried the restaurants recommended by Lucia. Va Pensiero, a Michelin-reviewed restaurant is 1 minute by car - you won’t believe it. Fantastico. Da Canu is where we drove to and started each day with a cappuccino and pastry, excellent friendly bakery. Sogona Agriturismo is further up the mountain and will charm you with an excellent meal including their own water from the river, wine and olive oil from their own property. Each evening we enjoyed a beautiful sunset and view that made us realize we would like to return. Thank you Claudio and Lucia for a wonderful stay.

Villa Casaforte was glorious!
We wrapped up our trip to Italy with the final few nights at Villa Casaforte and we couldn't have picked a more perfect ending! I cannot even begin to describe the beautiful views in all directions, the lovely and well kept grounds, the lovely villa apartment and the friendly and quite helpful Lucia. Ein Ort zum Entspannen und Genießen
Wir waren für 2 Wochen zu Gast in der Villa Casaforte. Die Unterkunft war sauber und geräumig. Angenehm war die Klimaanlage so dass man in der Nacht eine gute Zimmertemperatur hatte. Auf der großzügigen Liegewiese oberhalb des Pools unterhalb einer wunderschönen, riesigen Pinie konnten wir wunderbar entspannen. Der saubere Pool lud zum Schwimmen und Spielen ein. Mehrmals konnten wir den Gemeinschaftsgrill nutzen. In der unmittelbaren Gegend erreicht man per Auto diverse Restaurants / Pizzerien. Die Anlage war nie überlaufen da die meisten Gäste tagsüber Ausflüge in die Region unternehmen. Man erreicht die wichtigsten toskanischen Sehenswürdigkeiten in ca. 1-2 Stunden. Da wir bereits oft in der Toskana waren haben wir uns für Ausflüge nach Florenz, Arezzo, Pienza und Montalcino entschieden. Verbesserungswürdig ist der Pool da sich immer wieder kleine Kachelplättchen lösen und bei den Pooltreppen für manch eine scharfe Kante sorgen. Bei starkem Regen waren die Fenster in unserem Appartment leider nicht ganz dicht so dass sich auf dem inneren Fensterbrett sehr viel Regenwasser gesammelt hat. Insgesamt ist die Villa Casaforte aber sehr empfehlenswert, sowohl für Paare die gerne Ausflüge in die Toskana machen als auch Familien die sich hier ebenso wohl fühlen werden. Daumen hoch!

Traumhafter Urlaub in Traumlage
Wir können dieses Urlaubsdomizil einfach nur weiterempfehlen. Es ist traumhaft schön und dazu gepflegt. Wir hatten mit 4 Personen das kleinste Apartment. Das schränkt natürlich etwas ein, aber wir sind zurecht gekommen. Lucia ist die Frau für alles dort und sie war so so liebenswert und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns einfach wohlgefühlt. Wir haben von dort mit unserem Auto die Toskana erkundet und sind total begeistert. Diese Reise hat sich gelohnt. Abkühlung und Entspannung gab es dann immer im und am Pool und obwohl wir ihn mit anderen geteilt haben, hat es sich immer so ergeben, dass für alle genug Platz war. Der Wein uns das Olivenöl aus dieser Region ist wirklich fantastisch . Zum Ausgehen und einkaufen findet man im Umkreis genug Möglichkeiten, aber man braucht ein Auto dafür. Wir sind dankbar für zwei wunderbare Wochen Auszeit und kommen bestimmt wieder....

Toller Aufenthalt in der malerischen Toskana
Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt in der Ferienwohnung. Tatsächlich ist das gesamte Anwesen inklusive der Wohnung noch viel schöner, als auf den Bildern. Die Wohnung ist ausreichend ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Man hat eine tolle Aussicht auf die malerische Landschaft. Das Haus ist von Olivenbäumen und Zypressen umgeben. Der Check in und die Kommunikation mit Lucia waren einwandfrei. Allerdings sollte man beachten, dass fußläufig keine Geschäfte, Innenstädte oder Restaurants erreichbar sind. Die Lage ist sehr ländlich und ruhig, abgelegen vom Ortskern. Der nächste große Supermarkt (Coop) ist ca. 20min entfernt. Tagesausflüge nach Florenz (ca. 1h), Fattoria La Vialla (ca. 30min), le balze del Valdarno (ca. 10min) oder nach Arezzo (ca. 40min) sind zu empfehlen. Wir können einen Aufenthalt in dieser Ferienwohnung nur empfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder buchen.

We had a great vacation in this wonderful apartment in the middle of Tuscany. Our host Lucia was very kind and helpful during our stay! Our apartment was extremely clean and well equipped with everything needed for a great vacation. The rooms were well air conditioned and kitchen was well equipped. The surroundings was like being in heaven, the view over the Tuscan area was simply amazing! The pool area was clean and we had our oven sun beds during our stay. We can for sure recommend this amazing apartment to other guests. Thanks for a great vacation and a special thanks to Lucia for being so helpful😍

Prachtig uitzicht en rustig gelegen
Met veel plezier verbleven mijn partner en ik een week lang in Loro Ciuffenna. Een modern ingericht huis wat van alle gemakken is voorzien. Het uitzicht is adembenemend en de rust is heerlijk. Als je op zoek bent naar reuring ben je niet helemaal aan het juiste adres, maar dit was juist waar wij behoefte aan hadden. Een aanrader en zeker een plek om naar terug te keren.
