Holy Island with its ancient remains of a monastery is a must see - the place is pretty much sacred and it feels that way. You can get a boat ride to and from the island from Mountshannon. We were met with sparkling clean accommodations, breathtaking views, a bowl of fruit on the table, and coffee and teabags in the counter! The rooms were all comfortable and attractive, the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, towels, tea pots, coffee press, sugar, spices, etc. We had a wonderful holiday at Shannon View, and recommend it highly!
