Our family stayed here for our thanksgiving visit for about a week. We loved everything about the property, from the views to the simplicity. The hosts were amazing. Always available for any questions and made our stay comfortable and easy. Would highly recommend!
Loved everything about the place, great location, pet friendly, very central to all the distilleries in the area. It is roomy and comfortable, it even came with it's own wild turkey ( the bird not the bourbon ) that visited us each evening.
Great location and property to explore the bourbon trail. Second time down and everything was as wonderful as the first time. Highly recommend staying here!
The house is exactly as shown and is very clean. The location is great, it's far enough away from the city but close to the distilleries, Churchill Downs, and so much more.
We had a great stay. Hosts were wonderful, house was beautiful - don't miss the views on the porches early in the morning when the fog rolls in. Thanks so much!
What a special place to stay! Amazing hillside views of farmland; quiet and peaceful; beautifully furnished home and all amenities. We really felt welconed by Nicki when we saw the dog treats frosted with our pup's names and a welcome card. Perfect yard for dogs. Planning our next stay already!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Coxs Creek! It was a great location and beautiful home. The home was well equipped with everything we needed and the view from the porch was spectacular! Good communication and we would stay here again! Thank you for a comfortable place to stay!!
Could not possibly have picked a better place! View was better than described. Beds were comfortable. Property was immaculately clean. Host was amazing! Fantastic stay!!! Would highly recommend!!!
Our annual girls trip took us to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail this year. The house was in a perfect location to visit the distilleries and a couple of wineries. The house itself was immaculate, furnished with everything we needed and was a great set up for the group.
Lots of deck space to enjoy the beautiful view in back. The house is located in a quiet and peaceful location- not too far from Bardstown. The owners provided excellent hospitality and were very responsive. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, glasses, and utensils. There was an ample of towels, too. The gift basket with goodies when we arrived was a nice touch. Glad we made the decision to stay at the A-frame and hope to visit again!
A beautiful home, very clean & many extras. The view from the back deck was absolutely beautiful. Didn't want to leave & will definitely stay again someday.
Location was perfect.Stayed there with my Hubby, Daughter & Son in Law & Grandaughter. We all loved it. Just one little forgotten detail, Wish that the Master shower had some grab bars for us elderly folks but, otherwise, Just Perfect!!
We had to take a last minute trip to Ky for a funeral, and this home was perfect! The communication with the host was superb. She even accommodated us to be able to arrive a night earlier than expected. It was a great setup for our family to spread out, rest and socialize. The balconies off the back are an amazing place to sit and watch the sunrise over the beautiful farm land. The host was wonderful to talk with and even took the time to mail back items that had been left behind.
This property is located within the heart of bourbon country and is convenient drive to many distilleries, Louisville, and Frankfort. It is located in a rural area, but is less than 10 minutes from grocery stores and restaurants in Mt. Washington. We really enjoyed the view from the back porch in the late afternoons to evening. It was very clean and we were able to cook a couple meals a day for the family. Communication was great from our hosts and they even asked if we had left something after our stay. We really enjoyed our stay - thanks!
We had a nice stay while visiting several distilleries in the area. The A-Frame worked well for the 3 of us. My husband and I stayed in the Master King BR on the main floor. Our adult daughter stayed in the Queen bedroom upstairs. (I would consider the A-Frame a 2 BR home, with an open area with Murphy bed for additional sleeping spaces. You walk through this area to get to the Queen bedroom.)There are multiple balconies and the view of the farm fields in the back of the property are beautiful. We had fog rolling in and the full blood moon one night. There were constant sounds of birds and farm animals during the morning and at night. There were some wasps/hornets in the back but they didn't cause any problems. There is a small fenced-in front yard. The house is right on the side of a country road/highway. The cars and trucks weren't too disturbing - but the motorcycles were very loud at night. We cooked one of our two nights and the kitchen had everything we needed. We used the garage one night due to heavy rain with hail.
The home is cute A-frame, nicely decorated and we made it work so we had a nice vacation, but our initial opinion was disappointing when we found out the home didn't have the bedroom setup as it was initially advertised on VRBO (it was advertised: Bedroom1: 2 double beds, Bedroom2: 1 Queen bed, Primary Bedroom: King bed, Common Area: 1 twin 1 double futon) - that was NOT the case. There was Bedroom1: 1 Queen bed, Primary Bedroom: King bed, Common Area: 1 day bed that turns into 2 twin beds). This was a huge disappointment since we were 3 couples expecting one of the bedrooms to have 2 double beds, but instead the couple had to use the Common Area w/the 2 twin beds. Outside of that disappointment, the stay was nice. We had some pretty bad storms w/potential tornados and the homeowner Nikki/Bobby came out to ensure the cellar door was unlocked and available (in the event we needed to use it - thankfully we didnt). The home was clean, stocked w/what we needed (and had some extra niceties). It's centrally located for trips into Louisville & Lexington and nearby distilleries. (I see that the VRBO listing has been updated to reflect the correct bedroom/bed description - that will be helpful for potential future renters).
