"I wasn't expecting a 140 resort fee due before proceeding past the gate guard. The gate guard's response to my puzzled look was, "You were aware of the resort fee, right?" The fee is likely (at least I hope) embedded in the TOS. Moving on. The property permits pets but walking one's dog is prohibited. The properties are so small that one must walk a dog. Knowing this property was on a canal with open water access, I was not surprised that it needed some TLC. I think, most folks rent this type...

It started with an airport pickup from Wisi, who also picked up our bags after checkout so that we could walk around before our flight. And then he came and met us where we were to run us to the airport-it was fantastic! The property is great, albeit a 10-20 min walk to some places. "We had a lovely time. Our neighbors were nice. It was quiet. The walls are thick because my husband listens to the tv very loudly and the neighbors said they couldn't hear a thing. The washer and dryers worked great! It was wonderful! Even with the quaint little bar across the street playing music, you couldn't hear it once we were in our room. The little market next door had everything we needed. It was a relaxing, enjoyable stay. We would definitely stay again. "

"This place is about as laid back as you can get in the Keys. We love coming here, but it's a no frills existence and normally very peaceful. There's no housekeeping. Once you've blown thru some basic household supplies, you're on your own. With ample help from the property manager, eventually, the cottage had everything you might need for a home away from home. "

It was a little inconvenient to either walk on the short gravel path or walk on the decking and step over all the hoses that were used by the fishing boats.
