"The location and views were fantastic. We had an easy 20 min drive to Lucca each day. Perfect mix of peaceful vineyard and olive tree landscape with easy access to Lucca city restaurants and shopping. Owners and staff were wonderful. "
"We had a wonderful stay. It was a great location for bars and restaurants but not right by the super touristy areas. The room was nice and the communal area was right next to the canal where you can enjoy a drink. I would fully recommend this hotel."
"Great authentic Italian stay, would be easy to find if they had a board off highway. Little cold in room at first, but warm welcome and Breakfast made up for it"
"We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. A few things to note, though:
- the hotel is a good 15m walk from the walls of Lucca, so you need to plan your days as it’s not easy to pop back during the day, especially in the heat of August. Bike hire is extra - 35 euro a day.
- the pool is lovely - comfortable and a lovely space to relax. However, it’s only open from 10am - 7pm which was a shame as it’s not possible...
"Lucca was a stunning city, and this aparthotel was really conveniently located. It was a beautiful place to stay too, and the host was communicative and made me feel so welcome.
I’d highly recommend staying here!"

Unique features of Lucca Historical Center include the historical sites and cafes. Make a stop by Piazza Napoleone or Teatro del Giglio while you're exploring the area.
A lovely little city that is like stepping back in time and is a bit quieter than a lot of the bigger cities. The city can be seen in a day if you're willing to do a bit of walking and it's a perfect middle point to visit Pisa.

Lucca is a beautiful place, with fantastic views from the city walls. There is so much culture and history and so much for us to cram into two days. Will hopefully be back!

Lucca is a magical place to visit and would recommend the e-bike tour to see all the sites and those hidden gems not known to all tourists.

Perfect for a long weekend - very few cars, lots of restaurants and worth hiring a bike and cycling outside of the walls too.

Lucca is an Italian treasure and great to visit. Don't take the car, the train is ideal.

A charming small city packed with great historic sites, music and other culture, dining, parks, family-friendly, facilities to rent bikes and areas for small children. Other cities of the world take note.

Very limited Uber and taxi options so keep in mind if planning an early or late train trip. That being said, the town is small and it was a 20 minute walk, but not easy with our wheeled luggage in cobblestone streets.

Lucca is a wonderful city to visit. I enjoyed my time here a lot more than Pisa. Lucca feels more laid back.

Great little town but got really crowded on Saturday. I would recommend avoiding a Saturday visit
"The tranquility overlooking the valley from the terrace, the restaurant and the pool. Gorgeous Tuscan setting. Lovely old nunnery buildings. Be aware that the menu is limited and does not change day-to-day. Otherwise wonderful."
"Beautiful, clean hotel located in the heart of Lucca. Excellent breakfast was included and parking was very reasonable. They even allowed us to keep the car there after checkout for several hours
100% recommend! "
"Met by Sonia in reception who was just so very helpful. Hotel provided us with bikes to explore the town. Such fun. Then Ricardo helped us get tickets to the Puccini concert in the San Giovanni. We loved Lucca and it was in no small part owing to the lovely people we met in the hotel and in the city.
