"Eigentlich war es eine Notlösung, um eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit zu haben, da von Hannover bis Göttingen alles ausgebucht war. Zu meinem Glück fand ich dieses Kleinod an ruhigem Ambiete, das mir einen Arbeitsplatz (Tisch, Bank, Heizung) ebenso bot wie Ruhe und urige Atmosphäre. Mal etwas besonderes, das mich aus dem stressigen Alltag befreit hat und wo ich am Morgen nach einer ruhigen Nacht in lauschigem Bett sehr entspannt und ausgeruht wieder in den Streß eintauchen konnte. "We reserved 6 rooms for a graduation in Höxter. This hotel is about 15 minutes away!!! First morning we try to bath, NO WARM WATER until 11 am!!!! The graduation was at 1, so we had to really run. The breakfast was very very poor in many senses, a big disappointment for a German hotel. One of the rooms had its window not working and our guests were freezing all night. There is a Church that sounds its Glocks every 30 minutes which for some rooms was very loud. Would never return"

"Didn’t realise that the hotel didn’t have a night porter , so couldn’t check in. Ideally located for business trip to local pharmacy company, but hopeless if you can’t gain access. I would have thought it may have been courteous if the hotel would have prompted me as we’ve become so reliant on assumptions that text has been read, that o ended up sleeping outside in the car overnight when the temperature was minus 3."

"X1 night at Hameln, hotel good location for getting into beautiful old town, not so good food at Ambrosia. Missed the Pied piper museum as arrived to late and not open to couples on Mondays but enjoyed the stay"

"The staff are lovely and the location is great The rooms are dated and need refurbishment. The bed was uncomfortable and the king size bed was covered with two small sheets rather than one big one. The sink had a big crack in it. I wouldn’t have sold that room with that sink. There’s a lot of noise from restaurant patrons leaving and the people in the rooms above made a lot of noise at 2am. The restaurant is amazing and made up for the room. However, breakfast on the weekend is from 8am which is not acceptable in this day and age. We had to leave without eating. "

So much potential but stuck in a time warp.

"This hotel has so much potential unfortunately it wasn’t to the normal standard that a three star German hotel is. The restaurant was open from 6 pm till 8 pm for dinner if you arrive at 7:45 pm it’s too late and that is ridiculous as for breakfasts The cheeses and hams and eggs weren’t replenished so choice was greatly limited. The decor when you get into the hotel is like stepping back into the 1980s or early 90s where you imagine men wearing jackets with the sleeves rolled up it was quite an eye-opener, hence saying , that this hotel has so much potential. I can’t complain about the cleanliness and the room had suitable shower and a comfortable bed and luckily a couple of English television channels but no tea or coffee making Facilities in the room which was very disappointing."
