"This is a charming but very old home. It really is medieval with stone walls and floors. Updated bathrooms and kitchen. If you have mobility issues this is not the place for you. Steps to and from the front door and steps throughout the home. The owner was great and communicated well. We loved Todi, great little town and central location for visiting the hill towns. Use Stefano for a rental car."

"A great property in a great walking city - close to everything. A great jumping off place for day trips in Lazio like Bolsena and Orvieto. Also, the Porta Romana train station is a 6 minute walk - from there you have access to all of Italy. Many excellent restaurants are within a six minute walk - there’s even a great Italian steakhouse, Lo Spito, 50 feet from the condo. The place is a real gem."

We used the villa primarily as a base to get out and see Umbria, e.g., Todi, Spoleto, Spello, Assisi, Montefalco, Orvieto. "This was our first time to Orvieto. This property is at the top of a small mountain facing the village. Wonderful view, especially in the morning with the sun at low angle. The room was clean and comfortable. Free breakfast had many options, and they will cook for you if you wish. We had a car, there was plenty of parking. The owners were at the property while we were there and provided us with lots of information and conversation. Very nice place, but best it is about a 2 mile drive into the village. If your not driving to Orvieto, you may want to consider staying in town. "

Perfect stay

"Super location, just a block from the Duomo. City fun to visit, explore and enjoy. Hotel offered a delicious breakfast, but by breakfast 4, I would have enjoyed a little variation. However, that’s not really important. The room was very comfortable, shower was always hot. There is an elevator if you don’t want the stairs, all the staff are helpful and friendly. We appreciated the dinner recommendations."

"Nice modern rooms with lots of nice features including a nice breakfast basket. Also Hotel is centrally located for nearby historic quarter and Papal palace and duomo. There is parking at the hotel with a cost, but as its inside the ZTL its not easy to get there avoiding the one way streets. Spa was still being built but will be nice when done. "
