"Stayed here with our digs for two nights on way to Nice. Fabulous location with great dog walks along a geeen way and to a lake right beside the campsite entrance. Restaurant looked amazing but sadly we hadn’t booked. This is a regular trip for us and we will definitely stay again. "

Brood en croissant verkrijgbaar in het plaatselijk winkeltje. 2 croissants en 1 koffie ter plaatse genuttigd 3€. "

"Spent a week in this lovely house, which was well equipped and clean. Easy parking outside (free). Lovely views overlooking the ramparts, fields & lakes. The city was full of history, from their famous Langres cheese, Diderot & history of cutlery manufacture. The owner Pascal & his wife were extremely friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Excellent place for a stopover

"I do not understand why some people have given this hotel such negative reviews in the past. We loved it. It was a typical quirky French country hotel, very convenient to find from the motorway, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The rooms were basic but clean and everything worked. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant which was patronised by lots of local families - a very good sign. It houses a collection of vintage bikes. We stayed on a Saturday night but experienced no noise from the main road. It is located next to the Abbey of Clairvaux which is worth a visit and not far from the village of Colombey Les Deux Eglises where De Gaule is buried which is also interesting. Makes such a change from stopovers in budget chain hotels."

Fantastic

"The staff could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Though I had booked a double room I was given two singles but, only because the key given was incorrect ( easy to confuse a 6 & 9!) but it was no issue for me, I should have questioned it but with two dogs in hand easier to just settle in the first room! We were late yet they still gave us a table in the restaurant, and OMG the food was amazing. Next day breakfast delicious, loads of home made pastries etc, the croissant and jam particularly 😋. A wonderful hotel, lovely town with lovely walks for the dogs. "

"We had a lovely family room in a separate building. There was plenty of space and it was very quiet. It's decorated in a rather quirky way, which we liked. We ate in the hotel restaurant and found the food and service very good. A good stopping off point on the way south. It feels like the middle of nowhere, but is not far from the autoroute. "
