Vacation house is available for short let in New Forest, several minute drive from the South of England sea shore, 1 mile west of Lymington town centre. Sleeps up to 15 people. From London approximately 1.5 hours by train or 2 hours by car.

Ground floor:

Family bathroom with shower;
Family bathroom with shower and bathtub;
A sofa in the living room which can be used to sleep one person.

First floor:
A bedroom with king bed (sleeps 2);
Family bathroom with shower.

There is also a single folding bed and a double inflatable mattress. In addition to adult sleeping spaces, a toddler bed and two baby cots are available.

Very large garden with trees, trampoline, swing chair and football net, backing onto woodland.
Ample parking for several cars.

Large TV set and a DVD player with a film collection.

A fireplace and working wood burner.

Outdoors games such as full-sized table tennis, badminton, football.

Outdoors charcoal barbecue grill.

To the immediate north are miles of New Forest that encompasses beautiful open heathland and enclosed woodland, offering unspoilt horse riding and walking. Iron Age hill fort site within a two-minute walk.

Secluded location, but there are two food stores nearby - 'Co-operative food' (post code SO41 8XN, 3-minute drive or 10 minute walk through the forest) and Waitrose Lymington (post code SO41 9GF, 5-minute drive.)

A 5-min drive or 25-minute walk through the public field to High street of the Georgian town of Lymington.

In Lymington - pubs, restaurants, a range of shopping facilities including supermarkets, boutiques in the old port area. Every Saturday there is a market taking place on Lymington High Street showcasing local produce with some vendors from France. It is the largest market in the New Forest.
All kinds of boat and sailing activities.

Beaches and water activities at nearby villages Milford on Sea (10-min drive), Barton on Sea (nice walk at the top of the cliff) and between Highcliffe and Mudeford. Popular coastal walk to the Hurst spit and castle. Beautiful Highcliffe castle with surrounding gardens and hiking trails further down the coast (20-min drive). Crabbing and fishing and seafood venues along the Friars cliff to Mudeford promenade.

More ideas on things to do and see in the area:
Solent way walk;
1000-year-old St John’s church in Boldre; services on Sundays, including children’s nursery;
Horse riding in Brockenhurst;
Beaulieu motor museum;
Buckler’s Hard;
Popular Sunday car-boot sale near us called Strawberry Fields;
Longdown Activity farm, popular with children;
Nice old towns of Christchurch and Lyndhurst. Lyndhurst has a great New Forest tourist information centre with brochures on more things to do, walking and cycling trails, etc.

We can highly recommend the 'Monkey House' restaurant/pub that is a 2-minute drive towards Lymington. The beautiful and upscale ‘The Pig’ restaurant in Brockenhurst is great for family celebrations and is 20 minutes away.

From Lymington short ferry ride to Isle of Wight with beautiful nature walks.

The Lymington Town train station is a 10-minute taxi ride or a 30-minute walk (1.3 miles) from the house with a rail connection to London Waterloo. Alternatively, the forest village of Brockenhurst is 4 miles away with a direct rail connection to London Waterloo.

A working 1000-year old church in Boldre within a 10-minute drive.

We allow pets, but charge a sanitation fee of £25 per pet per night. They need monitoring to ensure they do not run into the forest or on the road.
We have a doorbell with external camera on the front porch. It will turn on in case of motion.

This property worked well for us as a family - we used it as a base for a family wedding in Lymington - and it had the perfect number of bedrooms to sleep us all - thank you very much Nathan and Julia

Some TLC needed
The bedrooms layout were good, there was plenty of parking space, the conservatory was a lovely space and communication with the owner was good. However the dining room table only sat 8 so we had to bring in a rickerty table from outside and a couple of the family had to sit on the breakfast counter. There were plenty of plates and cutlery etc but the cutlery in particular could do with updating! The bedroom and bathroom upstairs were both great. However the beds in some of the other bedrooms were very old and uncomfortable - some of our party left early as the beds hurt their backs. There were enough chairs in the lounge for everyone to sit on, but that included dining room chairs so not very comfortable to sit and chat and play games as a family of 13. The garden was a lovely area and the grandchildren loved the swing and as a family we made use of badminton and table tennis. However the grass was so long and everything so overgrown that we couldn’t use any of the outside seating apart from the wooden table and chairs outside the conservatory. This could be a lovely property but would benefit from some TLC

Perfect for a large family get together with children
We we’re really pleased with the property, especially the kitchen and dining area. It was very clean, the kitchen was very well stocked with utensils, cups and crockery. The garden was lovely for the children, the trampoline and rope swing were well used. The extra fridge in the utility meant there was more than enough fridge space for all the food and drink for a group of 15 for 3 nights. Great communication from the hosts and the recommendation for a meal at the monkey brew house was well received we had a fantastic lunch there. The only negative would be that some of us felt the beds were a little uncomfortable, but we all said we would happily stay again.

Ideal family get together house. Well positioned for the New Forest and the seaside. Easy to get to
The property is very spacious and well suited for family get togethers. The furniture is adequate and the garden is a really good size with plenty of spaces for the family. The white goods are showing their age and could be replaced to make the property a 10/10. The TV reception was a bit in and out. Whether its the position of the house/dish I'm not sure but it does need some attention. But overall a very good holiday let. Would I return? Yes, with one or two minor upgrades.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Great family space throughout. Facilities were good. We made full use of the garden and the activities. Lovely walk next to the house, 5 mins into lymington by car and easy to get to local area. For a family weekend we would recommend this property. Check in and departure easy and communication with Nathan was good.

Great house and garden to enjoy the Forest!
Cornerways perfectly suited our needs for a small scale staff retreat (8 adults). Good amount of space to spread out - the Conservatory/kitchen is a lovely space. Weather was good to us, so we were able to have a lot of our meals at the outdoor veranda which was also very nice. Garden particularly good - having a sense of almost being in the midst of the forest! Lots of spaces to spread out or come together around the fire pit gazing at the stars (we're Londoners who don't get to the see the stars often!). We didn't need it but could see there is plenty of provision for children of all ages (table tennis, trampoline, football net, etc) Kitchen well supplied and range cooker is great. We did a lot of cooking, so if I were to be picky, I'd say a bit more dining cutlery could be handy . Beds all good - bedding not 5-star hotel standard, but all well laundered and fine. Communication with Nathan was all good - quick to respond to queries and a really helpful pack of information came through in advance which actually left very little to need to ask! Many thanks for a lovely stay!

Family celebration
The location of the property is excellent and we did have a good time together. However, we all felt that the property was way below the standard that we are used to for instance when booking through companies such as Rural Retreats. 1. The mattresses in almost all of the beds were well beyond their replacement date and were quite uncomfortable. The springs in one of the downstairs double mattresses were beginning to poke through the surface and made for very uncomfortable sleeping; 2. The bedding sheets and pillow cases were quite shoddy and some were appalling and many of the pillows again were beyond their replacement date; 3. The cutlery was really quite inadequate for a party of 12 people. There was a lot of it but there were lots of tiny and unsuitable items. The kitchen knives were in desperate need of sharpening but there was no sharpening implement. There was a number of different small coffee making implements all of which appeared quite usable and suitable at first glance until you got around to using them. We asked one of our family who arrived the next day to bring a cafetiere as well as some wine glasses of which there were only four; 4. Some of the cupboards under the sink were dirty; 5. Some of the bath mats had seen better days and appeared unhygienic. The drainage was quite poor particularly in the showers which caused them to back up so that your feet were in a cm or two of water; 6. Most of the downstairs rooms, particularly the lounge, were dark and dismal and two of the four light bulbs in the lounge were missing making this room very dark. The ventilation was generally quite poor with many windows unable to be opened because a key that fit the locks couldn’t be found. Most rooms felt rather damp and smelled musty. The conservatory became particularly hot on the one sunny evening that we had and it was difficult to keep it cool inside even with the door to the garden open; 7. The furniture throughout the ground floor was quite old and very tired and some, particularly in the lounge was not very clean. Some curtains were coming off the rail; 8. The furniture outside on the decking was really in a very poor state; 9. Finally, the garden was very overgrown and not very pleasant to look at. Some wisteria and ivy was growing through the windows. A fire-pit was advertised. In fact it was a small scorched bonfire area; The cleaning lady had done her best to make the house clean and presentable.

Sway road property
The house was a great base. We could visit lots of local attractions easily. It was spacious and accommodated 9 guests easily. The children really enjoyed playing in the garden, using the rope swing and the football goal. The house itself is a little tired and could do with some updating. Mostly the house was clean but not nearly as clean as other properties we have stayed in. Towels and bedding were provided but they smelt a little like they had either been left in the washing machine too long or hadn’t been dried thoroughly.

We had a group of 11 , 2 adult s and 9 children ranging from age 6-15. We had a brilliant stay in the New Forest and the house was perfect for our needs. Plenty of space to eat and play. Equipped with everything we needed and ideally located for the Monkey restaurant which lived up to expectations. Only change perhaps to label keys as in the dark on arrival it took a while to find the correct one. It’s a minor point which demonstrates how good everything else was.

Brilliant holiday!
A lovely holiday home and fabulous location. There were 11 of us in our family group, ages ranging from 3 to 72. There was so much for us all of us to do and see in the area that we would definitely love to come back. The children absolutely loved the garden swing! It was a very comfortable house for a holiday and we managed to time our showers so that there wasn’t a problem with the water! Nathan is an excellent communicator and very easy to contact.
