Once we had worked out the train and bus (the staff explained which ones we needed for town) its situation which seemed far from town, did not seem so far! Breakfast was disappointing. "Perfect Roman home base. Walking distance to so many things but peaceful and calm. All the bars and restaurants of Trastevere just across the river and great pastrami sandwiches around the corner. Tiny rooms but comfortable beds and the showers are as lovely as advertised. I find the whole ipad thing a pain but it isn't intrusive. The roof deck is really pleasant but beware, the self serve machines can add up fast! "
