The first bad review I have ever left….
This was one of our worst VRBO ever. The room descriptions are not true to the actual space. Firstly, the courtyard sits between the front room and the kitchen, we arrived to rain pouring into the room from the rubber mats above. Then we noticed the smell, it was awful. 2 of our travel companions left within 10 minutes. As we walked through we realized there were more issues: the unplugged fridge smelled strongly when opened, 2 toilets were unflushed and it appeared the towels from the previous guests were all left hanging. The listing includes the front room as a bedroom(incurs an extra guest fee) but this room and one room upstairs are not isolated rooms. These rooms must be passed through to get to the kitchen and to one of the bathrooms'. The overall smell and mustiness of the property what was ultimately caused us to leave. Our teen has asthma and was using her rescue inhaler within the first 30 minutes. We did not get a chance to get pictures as we felt very intimidated when the host and his father and brother showed up to dispute our refund request. With a child feeling poorly I was not up for the argument we just wanted to get her to a safer place so we left and the contacted VRBO helpdesk. While I do understand the rain has been unprecedented in the region, this place had issues beyond the rain that was occurring at the time. We rented 5 VRBO properties on this trip and this was our only problem.
