"This is a beautiful, authentic hotel in a fantastic location, and I have no complaints, but I would recommend avoiding room #11 IF you prefer absolute privacy and quietness (you may have people sitting right outside of your window, happily chatting away, and a pipe that channels some of the upstairs wastewater runs right through your room). :) We traveled in a midsize SUV and parking was a challenge - with a larger car, you should avoid that area of the city to begin with, but if you are willing to walk a little bit, there are plenty of public parking garages, with at least one really large one on the other side of the river (Plaza de Cuba). "

"I loved the architecture of this hotel, with several open air courtyards. The related problem was people smoking in the courtyards and then the smoke sometimes getting into rooms. It’s a great location, very quiet yet easy walking to all the key sites.plus lots of restaurants and tapas bars quite close."

The hotel staff were so friendly and knowledgeable and our room was very comfortable although if we come back we would upgrade our room.
