"I would choose again to stay at this hotel. Easy access to beach. Walkable to stores, bakery and dining places. Hotel is in the center at very busy place but is very on the safe and quiet place too. Excellent and helpful hotel staff. "

"This hotel in Makarska is fabulous! The food offered here in the hotel is excellent. Best pizza I’ve had during my stay. The beds are comfortable, location is great however my only disappointment would be the beach. Even though the hotel is on exactly on the beach, it does offer access to it and it was very overcrowded. Not a lot of space to hang out. The beach was beautiful but I wasn’t able to enjoy it much since it was overcrowded with other guests/tourists. It is too bad since everything was great about our stay. Pool was fantastic, service at the pool was great including the drinks. "

"The breakfast and food at this hotel are exceptionally good. The location is also wonderful: the marina is walkable but far enough to feel separate and the beautiful beach could not be closer. Unfortunately the hotel is a bit let down by the bar and staff. It’s never staffed so difficult to get a drink and at dinner the only option to eat is inside a room with curtains to close off the beautiful view. We took our plates to sit outside (with permission) and this made it next to impossible to then get drinks. Reception staff are sympathetic but won’t pass so much as a glass out from the bar when there is no one is around, I suspect because they are equally frustrated. There is a shop under the hotel that is cheaper than a bar but more expensive than a normal supermarket and most people then just get cans or bottles from there and bring takeaway to the side of the pool. This is understandable and ok but not what you’d expect to get at a 4* hotel. The views from our room were incredible (504) and we had a duplex which was for 3 of us but could easily fit a family of 5 or even 6 (2 bathrooms and lots of space). The hotel Pool was shut for our first day which was very disappointing but staff didn’t seem empowered to do anything - an offer of a complimentary drink voucher or even a sense of apology would have gone a long way."

"We stayed for 3 for our 25th wedding anniversary. It is in a good location at the end of the promenade, the hotel itself is clean and the staff helpful. The only small issues were, getting a lounger in the pool area is tricky, and the airconditioning unit in our room could not cope with the heatwave and could not get below 25 degrees, however the staff provided a large fan the following day, which helped cool things down to 22 degrees."
