Queen Kapiolani is a great place to stay. Nice pool, bar and restaurant area. Great location, easy walk to beach, shopping and restaurants. They also had beach towels and some beach chairs to borrow if you get there early enough.

This property was a good value for being directly on the beach and right next to all of the shopping and restaurants that Waikiki has to offer. The room itself was an awkward layout and needs some updating. Getting to the pool/beach is easy but an awkward walk through a staff work area/smoking area/laundry area.The nightclub in the hotel contributes to loud nights despite me being on the 9th floor. I had a partial ocean view which was even better than imagined but that also gave me a view of the very loud air conditioning/mechanics on the neighboring buildings. Had it not be for the loud nights and the slight musty smell of the room I would've given them 5 stars.
