"We had a wonderful stay at The Somerset Hotel. Staff went above and beyond from when we arrived at the Male airport, to when we left the airport the next day. They were efficient and friendly, and the hotel was quiet and comfortable. We also enjoyed a great breakfast and lunch in the hotel's restaurant."

"Recently had a one night stay at Octave before heading to the islands. Service was fantastic. Communication from the staff before arriving was great. They organised a staff member to be available for check in post their normal staffed hours as we arrived very late. The room was bigger than expected and very clean. All staff were very friendly and provided great advice on what was in the area. Would highly recommend if staying in Male :)"

"From the moment we were met at the airport, the greeting we received when arriving on the island from the guest relations team, the superb massage we had at the excellent spa to the lovely food in all the restaurants (Mama) and the service at all the bars, the picture perfect setting and our housekeeper Ashik who looked after our overwater villa and kept the mini bar well stocked. Cant praise this place highly enough. Excellent snorkelling from your room with plenty of black tip sharks and tropical fish to swim with. Kayak's, pedalos and snorkel gear were free to hire too. A special thank you to guest relations for the cake, card, bottle of fizz and the bed decoration even though our anniversary was a couple of weeks earlier."

"I stayed for a week during a conference. The hotel staff is exceptionally hospitable. I got the feeling that they genuinely care. They helped arrange a diving trip and book taxies. Airport pickup, laundry service, and breakfast were all satisfactory. The room was basic but clean and functional. The location is great too: close to the fish market and there were plenty of stores around. I highly recommend this place. "
