Fortunately there was a couple of guys staying there who were able to call someone who let us into our room. I couldn’t remember if this was a pay at property or if we had prepaid so I asked the guy who told me we owed €75. We offered him our credit card but he asked for cash and it wasn’t till the next morning I discovered that we had indeed pre-paid. The...

Hostess was there to greet us. Being August, the town was really quiet, so I would say a car is essential. Supermarkets available around 4km away. I would thoroughly recommend the property."

"We have just spent a lovely two weeks here, the Gite was just what we were looking for and the weather was fine also. The owners were extremely welcoming and so kind, you couldn’t wish for more. I would say that the photos on the site were probably from a few years ago, but everything was as it said. There are things to do and find, even a little trip to Belgium to ride the Crocodile bus / boat. Also note the bed downstairs is extremely comfortable and the house was very clean. Yes it is...

"Magnifique propriété décorée avec goût, très bien tenue et équipée pour passer un séjour des plus agréables et reposants en famille ou entre amis. Chambres confortables et très spacieuses, grande cuisine avec tout l'équipement nécessaire. She welcomed us warmly, with a guided tour, information pack relating to accommodation, maps and guides for local walks and points of interest. She was nearby in case of queries, too. "The chalet was clean, although small, there was sufficient space for our motorcycle gear and space outside to leave luggage. The area around the lake is good for walking and due to it being end of season, very quiet throughout the day and night. The breakfast service was poor and does not represent good value. The first day there were no bowls for creals and no clean tea mugs. On the second day we were the only two diners. The cleaners were in the room drinking coffee when we arrived so there was not enough coffee left. I asked for more, they gave us a flask, locked the service room and left. They hadn't made more coffee but simply topped up the flask with water so the last bit we had was undrinkable. We then realised they had locked away the breads and croissants, leaving us nothing to eat. I told the office about this and as we had only eaten half a breakfast I asked for a refund of one but this was refused. We had a long ride that day and wanted a good start to the day, not to pay for the cleaners' breakfast. Overall the stay was good and I recommend it to others but advise against having the breakfast. "

"A beautiful property in a quiet location. Bags of facilities, with charming and thoughtful service. Excellent food and a copious breakfast, with delicious organic fruit, cheese, meat and drink from the farm and other local producers. Ideal as a stop over travelling to or from the UK, or as a romatic getaway in the country."

Superb barn conversion for family stay

"Family break for a week - five adults and a four years old child. The accomodation is really well set up - en-suite bathrooms in all bedrooms, a good kitchen and secure garden. Hostess was there to greet us. Being August, the town was really quiet, so I would say a car is essential. Supermarkets available around 4km away. I would thoroughly recommend the property."

Gorgeous rural stay

"We only stayed for one night at this gorgeous hotel. It’s a stunning building which has obviously had a lot of money, time and effort put into it. The surrounding area is quiet and rural. Our room was compact but beautifully decorated in a traditional french style. We ate in the hotel on the evening, the service and food were lovely. Unfortunately due to an early start we were unable to have breakfast. "

No reception and they charge yo twice

The proprietor promised he’d refund our money but after 3 months of to-ing and fro-ing - NOTHING. So - apart from being left stranded when you arrive to being cheated wrt payment I would strongly advise avoiding yhis place. "
