Beachfront Cottage Manganaunu - Cosy, Secluded Cottage

The ideal cosy cottage to escape the city life and relax with no wifi or TV.
Sit on the deck and look out to the sea views allowing you to watch the amazing sun rise out of the Pacific Ocean each morning. After a few minutes walk along the beach you will arrive at a very well renowned surfing spot, Manganaunu. Only 12 minutes drive north of Kaikoura, situated on the oceanfront side of the state highway and right next to the railway track - it can be quite neat to get a wave from the train driver. Behind thick tree line you are next to State Highway which can be busy so if you are a light sleeper this one is not for you but it has so many other qualities, it can be a special getaway.

It was very secluded and we loved the beach. We do have a few suggestions: stock more toilet paper, only 2 burners on the stove worked, lots of dead bugs in the sliding door jam.

The property was easy to find, views from deck awesome. Had lots of walks on the beach, meeting the friendly locals (seals). Didnt see any people. Train track right next store - added character to the house!!

Cute wee seaside batch
We had a lovely weekend at this property. Wonderful views and birdsong. The kids enjoyed seeing the train. I especially loved having no tv and limited wifi so we read and played games, exactly what we needed for a weekend away from the city. Great book selection and tidy comfortable house. Thank you for being pet friendly too! Will be back.
