"What a unique find, it really was like stepping back in time, into history. The villa is located immediately off the main piazza of Manziana, entered through a secure gate with private car parking in the villa grounds. The welcome that we received and attention throughout our stay from all of the staff was warm and genuine, the room was tastefully decorated in a classic Italian antique style and the views over the well manicured gardens, and the woods, mountains and lakes beyond were just...

"Lovely setting, close to beach and restaurants, quiet getaway from bustling city. Only downside is difficulty with transport due to work stoppage strikes during our stay causing us to pay a high price for a taxi to get there rather than the bus as we had planned. Early morning bus the next day was running so we were able to get to the airport on time. They do offer a shuttle but it is also expensive and must be reserved in advance."
