"We spent a family Christmas here and weren’t disappointed. The property itself is large enough for 9-10 people comfortably, with lots of space. The village is wonderful, very quaint, with some superb country walks, but not too far from Dorchester or Yeovil.The only issues we had were with some of the mattresses in some rooms being too soft, but that’s down to personal preference.Overall, would highly recommend."

"We came for a short break Thursday-Sunday. The van was spotless. The host thought about everything from providing fairy liquid, to loo rolls. Even a little sewing kit in the bathroom. "The cottage is lovely. I was a little surprised/disappointed by the close proximity of other houses as the pictures make it look quite rural. A good sized cottage with a beautiful garden leading out onto a recreation ground which was ideal for the children and walking the dogs. "Perfect perfect stay, warm and cosy,radiator control at your finger tips. Lovely pots and pans,comfy bed. Very quiet area. We extended 2 days for easons of food poisoning and Georgy so accommodating which was fabulous. We would stay there again with out a doubt. Decoratedfor Christmas/ New Year which was lovely. Shitterton is a lovely quiet hamlet with lovely period, thatched cottages.Most of our time was spent in the cosy, spacious living room with a fire roaring away. The location of the Hotel is great for Shaftesbury town, a 12 minute walk takes you to the centre. We really liked it. "Amazing place, temperature was minus and freezing so couldn’t get the heating high enough, but to be fair the bed was extremely comfy and had a really good sleep before going onto my next location, would definitely stay again and give time to use the facilities better! The Nog inn was a great local pub for food and drink 5 mins in a taxi "

"We had a great time at the hotel and enjoyed an excellent night using the bar on Friday with a happy hour offer and £30 to spend behind the bar if we did not need our room serviced. We accepted this offer and enjoy a great evening in the lounge with our dog Mia. The only downside is that parking is extremely limited to only 12 cars. "

"This was a 10/10 for us. Just wonderful in all ways. It was romantic, scenically amazing with such a pretty sea view room and balcony, the room was beautiful, clean, fresh and white and bright and it was such a comfy bed and with so many high quality and thoughtful touches in the room like many lovely teas and drinks and quality biscuits, the food in the restaurant was delicious and even the staff were very friendly as well and helpful too. What more could we possibly have asked for as a special pre-Valentines trip ? It was quiet and peaceful too at this time of year. We will definitely return. The fact that the WiFi was attained with a bit of data release probably was a plus for us as in choosing not to go there we had more of a rest and could make a call we had to make outside so that was not in any way a negative in real terms. It was a bonus really. Lulworth was already a favourite place but now we have a favourite place to stay there too. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so special. "

The Jubilee Hotel East- with Spa Facilities

"This is a family run hotel in a Victorian building. Our room was really large with a high ceiling with a sea view on the ground floor. Staff were very helpful and bent over backwards to resolve a couple of small issues with the room. The hotel has a spa and also provides evening entertainment even in low season when we visited. We had a really nice stay and the room was good value. Breakfast was also very nice The location is excellent. If you want four five star then this may not meet your expectations, but if you want, clean comfortable, well located and friendly then it gets our vote."
