"We had a lovely stay here. The reception staff were really welcoming and helpful. I was a bit surprised because the room picture was of twin beds with space between, but it was made up as a double. I was travelling with my son, so ended up sleeping on the sofa bed, which was easy to pull out, had a bottom sheet already on and additional pillows etc were in the cupboard. The room we had with a third bed for child - the room was way too small for this and hot and stuffy , ok as a double - not ok as a family room . "This is a nice spacious apartment in a quiet neighborhood, with really nice views over local allotments.As my wife has a disability being able to unload directly in front of the block was helpful but there were quite a few stairs before the lift which were fine for us, but not wheelchair accessible. "The property is located in a quiet residential street near to some local shops and about a mile on foot to the Vieux Port - a lovely tree lined stroll. The house is small but perfect for two people. We only used the ground floor - bedroom, shower, wc, kitchen and a nice sunny sitting room leading out into a small garden. NB Access to the basement accommodation is via very steep stairs. Only practical for the young and nimble! The house is a good base from which to explore the wonderful port town...

"This could be a lovely place to stay, but was a little tired. The kitchen was poor and lots of its contents were dirty. We had a problem with the pool, which again was ok but lots of broken tiles and we did have an algae problem. As I said it could be a great place, but it lacks love. For the price I expect better than an ikea kitchen or bedding - that said we did have a good time."

Close to a supermarket - only 5 mins in the car, Surgeres,close by, is a lovely little town to explore and also has a train station to get to La Rochelle, Paris, etc! Highly recommended."
