One bed, one bath cabin for two near the entrance to the North Cascades

This private location is off the beaten path but right in the heart of the census designated location of Marblemount, Washington. Snuggle up with a toasty fire in the winter with the wood burning stove or catch an afternoon movie on the DISH subscribed television on a loveseat built for two. Baseboard heating and a heat pump will keep the cabin warm, even without the use of the fireplace.

Cook your own meals in a full kitchen complete with basic dishes and cookware, drip coffee pot and toaster. A full sized oven will fit a large pizza and the fridge/freezer will keep perishables while you shoot the rapids of the Skagit River right next door. Reheat leftovers with the microwave or on the stove from the local restaurants within walking distance out the front door.

Enjoy the open floor plan of this cozy cabin, perfect for a quick getaway in the Cascade Mountains. The queen sized four poster bed with effective black-out curtains will provide a comfortable night of sleep to hike the Cascade Pass by dawn. Inside the closet, store clothing or sit at the desk for a private space for video meetings.

Small clothing washer and dryer make this location uniquely situated for longer stays, as Marblemount lacks a public laundry. Detergent is provided, but please bring your own softener. The low entry on the shower is easy for those with mobility issues, like sore muscles after a steep climb during Larch Madness.

High speed fiber connected wifi will keep you connected. Take a meeting at noon after stand up paddle-boarding on Diablo Lake at daybreak. Keep in touch with loved ones, download a book or take in a movie with plenty of connection speed.

Approximately 2.5 hours from SeaTac, 20 minutes to Newhalem, 60 minutes to Cascade Pass trailhead, 35 minutes to North Cascades Institute, 20 minutes to the North Cascades Visitor Center

Was already nice and toasty inside which was wonderful since it was freezing outside. All instructions were easy to follow getting there and inside the cabin. Very clean with a little binder that had details on anything we’d want to know. Everything stocked inside that we could need so that was a nice surprise. TV outdated and very slow, that’s the only small gripe we had.

Great find
My husband and I were visiting the North Cascades after several nights in various hotels in other areas. This VRBO was very close to the entrance to the NP. It was the perfect size for the two of us! Being able to walk just a few steps to a restaurant, store, and coffee shop was very convenient!

Great location right outside of the national park
I appreciated that the owner of this property portrayed it accurately in the pictures. I knew exactly what we would get for the affordable price offered, which is to have all of our basic needs met without the price tag that comes with newer rentals. This isn't the type of rental you would want to hang out in all day, but it's a great place to land after a long day of outdoor activities. We appreciated sitting on the cute porch having a cold beverage after hiking. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our dinner, and the bed was comfortable enough to crash for a good nights sleep.

It was a great lil cabin with a couple caveats
It was a fine cabin for me and my dog. It was quiet on the 4th of July which was the purpose of my stay. When I went to wash my face that night, I could not find a single wash cloth, towels were there, but washcloths were no where to be seen. Luckily I had the foresight to bring my own towel and washcloth just in case something like this should happen. Going to make coffee the next morning I made the unhappy discovery that there were no coffee filters for the coffee maker! NOOOOO! I searched all over that kitchen. I was forced to use paper towels, not ideal to say the least! On my last day of my stay I went to do laundry. There were dirty rags and cloths in the washer AND sheets and rags and low and behold! Washcloths! in the dryer. A bit late to be sure. I was forced to remove all laundry from the washer and dryer so I could do a load off laundry. I was not happy about these inconveniences, please tell the person doing the cleaning to make a check list and perhaps this won't happen to any one else paying money to stay here.

No address, no sign on road. Spent hour trying to find cabin. No way to contact to get key. Pictures must be real old since doesn’t reflect current property.

Wonderful host and property
Love this stay - good distance from the best hikes in the area, calm, quiet. Everyone is very kind, and host was very gracious and gave helpful advice on the best of the area. Short walk to supplies if you run out of snacks, and great coffee. Easy check in and check out instructions - this was a great experience through and through.

Location benefit
Our stay would have been better if more attention had been given to housekeeping. Our main reason for staying here is the ability to use the washer and dryer. They were both full of bedding and rugs when we arrived so we had to remove those things and then the dryer did not work well. It is a great location to North Cascades though.
