We enjoyed our stay in Rabia’s riad. The house is HUGE with room for a LOT more people than just me and my sister (!) and is equipped with everything you need and then some! Communication with Rabia was easy and fast — and a major highlight of the stay was the assistance we got from Hafida, the housekeeper, who is so knowledgeable about Marrakesh and incredibly helpful with logistics.

Authentic riad in an excellent location

Rabia’s riad is a perfect place to stay if you want to explore Marrakesh. The Riad is beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable. We loved the living room and the rooftop. Hafida helped us getting around the city, booked us hammam, restaurant, taxi and took care of us during our stay. She also made us wonderful pancakes for breakfast, that we appreciated very much

Dream Road, great location

Kasbah felt a quieter, safer location. However was never more than 20 mins walk to anywhere in the centre of Marrakech. Rabia and Hafida were always attentive and happy to help. Hafida’s breakfasts were a very welcome start to the morning. The terrace and courtyard were lovely to sit in. Great view over the rooftops

Quite a magnificent,expansive property which would be wonderful for a large family gathering yet as the only two people in the building we were very comfortable. The accommodation is beautifully decorated in Moroccan tradition and very clean. Hafida not only served breakfast but helped us accomplish what we wanted to see and do

Perfect Tranquil Location

From start to finish this was a perfect place for first-timers to Marrakesh. Rabia was so patient and lovely answering all my questions via WhatsApp before our holiday. We were met by taxi at the airport and transferred seamlessly to the Kasbah, where Hafida then met us and walked us to the Riad, Hafida was very helpful, preparing lovely breakfasts every morning, making bookings for us, and giving advice; as well as being a lovely person. The Riad itself is wonderful; large, bright and airy; with en-suite bathrooms, and two terraces (one a roof terrace). This was the perfect place to stay and discover Marrakesh. We hope to stay again. Thank you.

Beautiful riad

We really enjoyed staying in this beautiful riad. Hafida took great care of us; her freshly cooked breakfasts were delicious. The bedrooms are beautifully renovated and huge. We especially enjoyed the rooftop terrace. Very good communication with Rabia.

A Wonderful Stay!

We loved staying here! The space was gorgeous with exquisite attention to detail. The neighborhood was quiet and allowed for easy exploration of the nearby areas. Rabia was very responsive to our many questions and Hafida was a pure delight to interact with while in the home. We really appreciated the transfer from the train station, the filtered water, and the various communal sitting areas. We recommend this Riad without hesitation.

Wonderful Riad

We had a great stay here in Marrakech. Right in the heart of the Medina. Hafida was an amazing host/cook/resource. Very warm, kind and helpful. The place was huge with many more rooms than we could possibly use. Rooftop view was great, looking over the city. Would definitely stay here again!

Oasis of peace in Kasbah

Thank you to Rabia and Christophe for allowing us to stay in their wonderful riad, right in the heart of the Kasbah. It is truly an oasis to be treasured. Everything went super smoothly from pick up at the airport to waving goodbye to the wonderful Hafida, who showed us the property, made breakfast for us, organized trips and shared her local knowledge with us. The riad has three levels with a beautiful terrace and then a further rooftop terrace from which we spent each evening looking out over the city as the sun set. Each room has been beautifully and carefully designed with much attention to detail. Overall we loved the riad and our Marrakesh experience!

The property is adorable! I was fascinated by the decoration of the riad. The host Rabia communication was clear and Hafida the lady who was there to give us the keys was amazing. She offerd us tea, cookies and drew a map for the attractions around. We walked almost everywhere as the Road is close to many places. The neighborhood is safe and the Riad is spacious and spotoess. I will definitely book it again and recommend it to my family and friends.

Quiet spot, convenient location

Lovely Riad (not that we have seen any others!) but every room had a bathroom and the tiling/wood features were really beautiful. Appreciated the laundry facilities too. Location was ideal - in quiet spot but 2 minutes gets you to the heart of the Kaaba and the Tombs. Hafida was so helpful and patient with us. We only speak English so Google Translate was a blessing. She helped organize so much for us - cooking class, spa, printing airline tickets and would take us to places to ensure we got to where we needed to go.

Pristine riad in great location.

The riad was in a great location, super clean, and quiet at night. The terrace was perfect for relaxing in the evenings and enjoying the cool air. Hafida was super kind and helpful. Only had a couple issues: the bedroom with two beds has an AC that doesn’t work, the confusing information in the listing regarding airport transfers (they only cover transfers from the airport), and the terrible WiFi. I work remotely and needed the WiFi so had to move to a local cafe or other location in order to work. All in all would definitely recommend.

Charming riad

We had a wonderful stay at this riad in Marrakesh! The best part of the riad was the hostess, Hafida. Hafida made us feel completely at home with her warm and welcoming energy. She went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, always greeting us with a kind smile and offering thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special.The riad itself was charming—the beautiful renovations perfectly blended modern comfort with traditional Moroccan charm. Wifi was strong- no problems. Photos are accurate- room/bathroom with two beds is a bit small for 3 guests, but manageable, especially only for sleeping as there are plenty of larger common areas available in the home. Location good— agree with other reviews about finding specific landmarks to help you remember how to navigate back at night. But what truly made our experience was Hafida’s hospitality. Whether it was her delicious homemade breakfast, her helpful local recommendations, or just her lovely presence, she made our trip feel so much more personal and meaningful. Merci beaucoup pour tout Hafida, et merci de me permettre de practiquer mon francais!

Lovely Private Riad Stay in Medina

This was our first visit to Marrakech. This well-maintained riad was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable, and close to restaurants, historic sites and marketplaces. It was also a terrific value for the cost. We were very pleased that transportation from the airport was arranged for us, and was included in the price of our rental. We had the entire place to ourselves and there were 2 wifi networks, which was helpful when one of the networks was temporarily down. The property manager, Hafida, was a real gem. She prepared our breakfast each day, made restaurant reservations for us, and offered suggestions for things to see and do. (Google Translate was a very helpful app to have.) The sunny rooftop terraces (there are 2!) were a treat. A clothes washer is available and clothing dries quickly on the rooftop clothesline. Nearby neighbors were helpful when we accidentally wandered into the wrong passageway on our first walking excursion on our own. We felt safe walking everywhere during our stay.

Marrakech charm

Beautiful moroccan home in the more traditional part of Medina. The place had multiple floors and beds and gives you a true Moroccan ambience. It is surrounded by plenty of shops and local Stores , restaurants . Hafida is a sweet and humble lady who frequents the property prepared daily breakfast and is very helpful for information concerning the area and helped us with scheduling taxis and bought us a few groceries . She also made a traditional meal for us called tagine which was great ! Thank you Hafida! Overall our stay was amazing . Owners communicated clearly with us from the start. Would definitely return to this vrbo upon our next trip to Morocco .

Absolutely Perfect!

We couldn't have enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house more. It feels wonderfully Moroccan, is beautifully decorated, and the craftsmanship of the home is amazing. We were very comfortable, and the owners are great communicators - helpful and responsive. Another jewel in the crown of this lovely home is Hafida, one of the kindest and loveliest people we have ever met in our travels. She takes great care of this beautiful home. She provided wonderful breakfasts, and was so helpful with information about the area, assisting us with transport, and always making sure we were comfortable. We will never forget her! Riad in Marrakech

We completely enjoyed our stay. The location was perfectly located and our host was great with communication and accommodations. We had home cooked breakfast each morning by Hafida who was very kind, helpful and pleasant to be around. Hafida helped us in many ways which made our trip that much more enjoyable. We didn’t have to struggle with taxi service and she helped us organize our days and travel throughout Marrakech. Rabia our host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The Riad is authentic Moroccan which helped us experience the true culture. We loved the roof top where we spent many evening enjoying the outdoors. Thank you Rabia and Hafida!!! Unique Stay

Loved the idea of staying in such an historic type of house. Was well decorated to allow you the full experience of Morrocco from plush furnishings to carved wooden doors to winding staircases. Appreciated that a few rooms had AC but not all, otherwise we would've stayed inside too much. Two patios were great for different reasons. One was great for yoga and had a washing machine and clothes line. The top patio allowed for sunset views and a quiet place in the evening to sit away from the noise. We didn't care for the location. It was initially hard to orient to, especially in the evening. When you go out, make sure you identify unique landmarks that will help you get home! Being close to the tomb is a big help buy only gets you so far. Once you get on the 'street' everything is clean and quiet, but first you do go down a market street that has sounds and smells of butchers, produce sellers, etc. So expect that. It can be wet and a bit grungy. Would we stay there again? Yes. There were only two of us but we loved migrating to different rooms throughout our stay. Especially the 3rd floor living space. Also to note, my son was able to successfully telework from the building so internet was quite good. And you will get amazing hit and crispy msmmen for breakfast!

Home away from home

The prior reviews for this Riad were spot on. We very much appreciated the inclusive airport pick-up. The location is very convenient for the main market, Medina, sites to be visited such as the palace, dining options, an ATM that actually charged a low fee and did not run out of cash, and access to taxis. It was hard to believe after walking down some tight streets (yes, I was hit by a careless motorbike) that such a large, clean, comfortable home is hidden behind the gated door. The hosts quickly responded to all of our inquiries and immediately addressed an issue we had with the internet. So many people have said very kind words for Hafida. Again, spot on. She is friendly with a constant smile, amazing and a great cook. The air-conditioning for the upstairs worked perfectly - note, the downstairs bedroom does not have air-conditioning, but it was still not uncomfortable. Numerous places to sit and relax after a busy day(s) of walking around. An open rooftop terrace to take in the sights and sounds of the city. We stayed two (2) nights in Marrakech and then went on a tour of the Sahara. Upon returning to Marrakech we were fortunate to be able to return to Riad Dar Almoravide for another night. It truly felt like we were going back to our very comfortable home. This home, the hosts, and Hafida all deserve 10 out of 10 for their respective ratings. One (1) word of advice, be sure to use landmarks to find your way back to the Riad. It is easy to get lost in the city.
