Had an absolutely wonderful time! The only downsides is they don’t heat the outdoor pool so even when it’s warm outside, the pool is like a polar plunge situation. The wifi was very spotty and barley worked at all in the room but would by the main building and restaurants. The bed wasn’t very comfortable and the bedding felt like a bare gauze cover- the room otherwise was beautiful and the staff are very helpful & friendly! The kids club & spa were fantastic as well!

The property it self was nice. The food was horrible; two restaurants were buffet style but they all basically served the same things. The hotel room was vague and had no amenities such as coffee maker, kettle nor a IRON. There were no washcloths (a rag) and we were only given two towels. There was only water in the mini fridge; nothing else. We were told (after having to call the front desk) that we had to make a deposit of 200MAD per item to get a kettle or iron (which they had none available even though they told us on the phone they had some available and when we walked over to the front desk there was none). There’s no club on the property and the drinks (cocktails) are VERY weak. Honestly, If you’re just looking for somewhere to lay your head and you have plans outside of the hotel then yeah I’d stay here, otherwise I’d find somewhere else to stay, ESPECIALLY if you’re a younger crowd.

I had a death in the family and requested the hotel to make an exception and cancel my non-refundable room (1 night) as I had to cancel my entire trip. Property outright declined myself and Expedia. No matter how many good things people might say, the service and business practices that don't accommodate exception for customers who are truly in need of some leeway, displays a complete lack of respect for their customers and horrible business ethics. This resort tried pushing the blame on Expedia saying its them who declined to refund me it but its actually this resort. Expedia has been contacting this property for a week ahead of my arrival. Moreover, Expedia notified me that this resort had the literal audacity to ask for a death certificate from the hospital for my deceased family member over a matter of $150 CDN. You guys are genuinely despicable and morally hollow. Absolutely no compassion or respect for the dead or their grieving family and on top of that you declined refunding me as if I care about the money after you reveal your pathetic business practices and moral compass through this gross and disgusting demand.

I had the pleasure of visiting Riu Tikida Palmerai during my stay in January. The weather was perfect for sun bathing at around 20-25 degrees most days along with offering amazing facilities like football, volleyball and table tennis. The gardens in the hotel are beautiful even as someone who doesn’t appreciate scenery these were a must look. I honestly don’t understand why people complain about the food obviously it’s not restaurant level but it does the job, they rotate some food on a daily basis and you can choose from the three restaurants in the evening but you also have to try some spots outside of the hotel, as the Moroccan food cannot be missed! The only thing I could fault from the hotel is the employees seemed a bit boring not really showing much emotion but that isn’t an issue that should turn you away as the hotel offers way more than what it’s valued out and you should definitely give it a try if your visiting the beautiful country of Morocco.

The hotel and grounds are absolutely beautiful. The rooms are spacious, but a little tired. Beds and pillows comfortable. The staff are AMZING. So friendly and helpful, they always have a smile and say hello. The spa was closed for a refurb during my stay, but there is a decent gym there, and an indoor pool, and it looked like great facilities for children. The food and numerous restaurant spaces were great. After 7 days I found the breakfast and lunch options a little bit repetitive, but there was so much choice you could have something different every day. The dinner options were always fresh and fantastic. One downsides about the restaurants is that not everything was labelled up, or labelled correctly. Fine for me as i don’t have allergies or particular requirements, but not great for those who do. The entertainment team work really hard, and there’s something on each evening as well as throughout the days around the pool. Would go back.

The managers aren’t truthful they say go back and we will sort your issue. The laundry team spoilt one of my matching garments by washing not dry cleaning as stipulated. The WiFi doesn’t work consistently. The room allocated was all in the shade and dark to go to The staff however are amazing. The food and atmosphere is good. The gardens and pool area immaculate Had stomach issues along with another man I got talking to the whole time of being there but don’t know why. Other than that the Spa amazing and to be honest if the manager on charge hadn’t lied to me I would have graded it more

This was a lovely hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. The only drawback was the pool temperature- we went at the end of October and despite it being 25 - 30 degrees outside, the pool was ice cold at all times of day and never warmed up, to the extent that small children found it way too cold to swim. Perhaps because it was such a big pool it just couldn’t heat up naturally, but if you’re going to be open during cooler months, it really needs to be heated. The indoor pool also wasn’t heated at all and very cold to use. Otherwise a lovely place to go.

I stayed here for 3 nights. First impressions were good, there was a man with a buggie who took us to our room with the luggage. Once we got into the room that’s when things started going downhill. There were ants crawling all over the bathroom door frame and floor. We reported it to reception and they did sort it out, but left all the dead ants on the floor!! The food was terrible, stale and cold. Breakfast isn’t served fresh, they cook it and leave it under the light. The cups were constantly dirty and I had been given filthy cutlery which I could see someone else eggs still on them! I felt the staff were not friendly there at all apart from the chef at breakfast time who made me and my husband tea. I’ve stayed in Iberostar 3 times and would recommend it over Riu Tikida any day! For the price we paid for 3 nights it was a complete waste of money!

Good: Staff - all really nice and engaging Moroccan food - great tagines Breakfast - great selection of food Grounds and shared areas - clean and well gardened Shuttle bus into the city - free and frequent enough To improve: Room condition - some peeling plaster, shower cubical leaked, just a bit tired Shower gel/shampoo - just a single dispenser for poor quality stuff. Pools - both really cold! Non-Moroccan food - lots of the same food each meal and not amazing Coffee - espresso wasn't great, the breakfast coffee machines made a version of a coffee flavoured drink I wouldn't classify as coffee Overall - a decent hotel that needs a bit of TLC
