Great location in Sliema! The hotel is nestled between St. Julian’s Bay and Sliema seafronts. The hotel is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood, about 10-15 minute walk to either seafront location. There are small cafes, local bars, a pharmacy, and a mini market near the hotel. It was easy for excursion meet up points, the buses and to take the ferry. There are tons of restaurants, bars and cafes by the water along the Sliema seafront or St Julien’s Bay. It’s a beautiful, boutique hotel with a very accommodating & friendly staff. If you don’t mind a bit of walking, we would highly recommend it as a lovely & perfect place to stay. A clean, pleasant hotel with friendly, attentive staff. Good breakfast with a choice of items. The walk of 8 minutes from Sliema Ferries was not a problem. Also not a problem was my window overlooking a service shaft. Malta is so fascinating that I wasn't in the room long enough to mind!

The hotel is located in a quiet pedestrianised location (so taxi’s cannot get directly outside the front door but the staff were very willing to help with our luggage) and it is convenient for exploring Valletta on foot (a particular gem is the nearby Manoel Theatre which runs a tour with an actor as guide). The hotel is modern inside and we chose a room with a balcony which made a big difference for our 10 night stay (Malta has high humidity). Staff were very helpful and cleanliness was excellent. The inclusive breakfast was very good although the breakfast area is on the small size (space is generally at a premium in Valletta). Really enjoyed our stay helped by booking some heavily subscribed events before arriving (e.g. ‘Underground Valletta’ and ‘Valletta Resounds’ which is also a good way of seeing the Co-Cathedral as well without the queues), We also bought a ‘Heritage Pass’ and a bus pass (which includes a boat tour of the harbours and some ferries e.g. to Gozo although the bus timetable for some of the longer routes should be taken with a pinch of salt). The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are plenty within easy walking distance. Particularly liked Gambit (Old Bakery St.) and Ambrosia (Archbishop St.) although advance booking is probably sensible.

The property is well laid out, offering well maintained and comfortable areas for dining, swimming and exercise. Staff are well trained and are eager to assist. No issues there. However, the guest rooms are in need of some attention. Some of the issues we noticed: 1: Broken Tiles in the bathroom. 2: Room furniture shows signs of wear 3: Room air conditioning not operational 4: Bed mattress and pillows are in desperate need of replacement. Mattress is very soft, pillows are very flat. 5: Room TV is small; Remote control has electrical tape holding it together. 6: Toilet seat not entirely secure; shifts while in use 7: Bathtub is small and the bottom is curved (not flat), making it hard not to slip when taking a shower. 8: Could not determine how to use the room safe; no instructions provided. the hotel was fine. when we did have an issue with noise from another room during the night it was dealt with by the staff. staff were friendly and beds were comfortable.
