Had a great stay here. House was clean and well-supplied with everything I needed. Beautiful property in a secluded area. Firepit by the water was terrific. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.
We sat on the back porch with our dog everyday listening to the creek. It was such a peaceful & relaxing get away. We went to hike and see waterfalls throughout the day and would come back to the house to hangout and relax.
We had a wonderful stay in Marshall! The property was clean, check in easy, and the creek was so relaxing. We really loved the screened in porch too, highly recommend!!
Relaxing surroundings and well appointed cabin, we enjoyed our stay. Loved having the option to hike, camp, and play in the creek right on property. Owners were very responsive to minor issues encountered during our stay. Would return!
the house was very nice and it’s way up in the mountain very private and secluded the stream along the property is beautiful and the water fall sounds are very relaxing when you’re hanging out on the screen porch
A very relaxing stay. The little creek was fun to fish. The house was very nice comfortable beds. The screen deck was nice place to hang out in the rain. Would definitely come back!
Very impressed with your home! It had everything we needed and the home was stocked with everything we needed. It was wonderful. It is a little far out but we enjoyed the ride and the beautiful sights. Thank you for sharing.
This place was perfect for my Husband and I celebrating our wedding anniversary! The host were absolutely great and so kind, everything was so beautiful and relaxing! We would definitely recommend this to anyone!
We had a great time at Elysium falls. Property was neat as a pin and very flexible. Great hiking and additional camping space at the top of the mountain with quiet Appalachian seclusion and the sounds of nature. We also did a lot of fly fishing in the creek having caught several small rainbows and a 12" brown. Great host/hostess...highly recommended!
My family and i had a wonderful relaxing stay at Elysium Falls. The house was clean and perfect for our family of four. The property was beautiful and our kids loved playing in the water and exploring in the woods. The property js pretty far out (which is what we wanted) but close enough to Asheville and Hot Springs to take day trips. Overall great experience!
Our family booked Elysium Falls for our Thanksgiving celebration. The cabin had everything we could have needed or wanted.
The kitchen was full stocked with all the needed appliances to cook a full thanksgiving meal.
The secluded area with the creek and hiking trails offered a great retreat with family.
We would all recommend a stay.
The sound of rushing water combined with the daybed on the screened in porch requires extreme willpower to force yourself to do anything other than sleep.
We had a great weekend at Elysium Falls. It is perfectly located next to a beautiful river and has a private hiking trail on the property. We brought our two dogs and really enjoyed some off leash time. We made the hike up to the camping area twice and spent an afternoon exploring the river. We built a fire at the fire pit and made smores, and enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the porch. We also explored downtown Marshall and the Sandy Bottom Gem Mine. The house itself had everything we needed to cook and be comfortable. It was a great weekend.
Cabin was beautifully appointed and just what the Dr. ordered for this family. You felt right at home the minute you stepped in the door. And the sound of the creek from the porch put my wife right to sleep after a hectic work seminar she put on the week prior.
Kids love playing in the creek.
The property was conveniently located off of Main road. Large piece of property with Old Logging trails for walking. Beautiful trees everywhere. The creek that runs right next to the house is super peaceful. We would open up one of the patio doors just to listen to the water rushing by. Really enjoyed the fire pit along the creek. Everything was clean and worked as it should. Just make sure to bring some s'mores to cook up by the fire pit outside.
This piece of property is incredibly. It's remote, so be prepared to lose your cell signal. A great idea is to download offline google maps so you can ensure you make it to your destination with no hiccups. The drive up the mountain can be a bit anxious if you're not used to driving in terrain such as this, but it's totally worth it. Not much need to leave the property other than for groceries. The river is beautiful and there's plenty to explore. The structure is in great condition and was fully stocked with cooking supplies as well as detergents and bleach for laundry. We loved it and will definitely return. PET FRIENDLY!
I was looking for a place that i could lose my self in nature and unwind and this place did all of that and more. The property has a nice tail system, the creek was fantastic, and the cabin was amazing. The screened in back pouch was a favorite of mine also.
The property owners where great and very friendly and reply fast to any questions I had.
It is a very good idea to go to the store on your way to the cabin they are not joking when they say the closest one is 35 min away along with a gas station.
Loved every moment of our stay. The peace and quiet, along with the music of the creek, makes for a wonderful, restful stay. Plenty of space, fully equipped residence, and hosts that are attentive to all your needs. There’s absolutely no reason to not want to stay here. Unless, of course, you hate nature and need to be in a big city. Then I wouldn’t recommend staying here. But if you want to unplug and unwind, you won’t be disappointed! Build a fire, roast a marshmallow, go for a hike, do some star gazing, play in the creek (summertime only), take an outdoor shower, all the things you can’t do when surrounded by buildings and loads of people.
My partner and I really enjoyed our stay and plan to return again in the future. It was sad to return to reality after our long weekend was over.
This cabin was exactly what I was looking for. I did a personal "learning" retreat and wanted a secluded cabin with a running creek that had nature to be enjoyed. This cabin checked every box and more! The wonderful screened in porch (huge porch) with fans overlooking the creek was perfect. I spent several hours a day sitting on the porch and enjoying the sound of the creek, the fan keeping it comfortable in late-June and being isolated. Back home in a more city area with roads, cars, sirens and the like I miss the cabin all the time. I didn't get to take advantage of the camping platforms but everything about this cabin was great. Lots of kitchen equipment to cook meals and enjoy. Comfortable beds. Clean, clean, clean. Also... very stable and fast internet so even though you're out of service range you can enable wi-fi calling and it works perfectly. Thank you for sharing your cabin!
We had a wonderful trip to the mountains of NC. The property is a bit of a drive through the mountains from Marshall and going almost anywhere will take 25mins to an hour from the property. The location worked out well as a base for exploring the towns, sites and streams north of Asheville. The property is beautiful and allows for easy hikes out the front door as well as convenient trout fishing. We caught quite a few brown and rainbow trout just hiking up and down the creek on the property. The creek that runs along the front of the property and along the house provides a wonderful back drop for relaxing on the screened in porch or around the fire pit. The house is charming, clean and boasts quite a few modern convinces - Heat/AC (if needed), amazing hot water, full size washer and dryer, dishwasher, gas range and impressive fiber internet speeds that handled multiple steaming devices and video conference calls simultaneously. The two bedrooms + loft and 1.5 bathrooms makes this house really practical for a family or multiple adults.
