"Once we found the property, it was nice. A little smaller than we expected. But nice… The problem was the hell we had finding the place. The steepness of the paths were ridiculous. The sharp turns and drop offs. We always made sure we were back to the property before dusk. Because there was absolutely no traveling that course at night. "My wife and I needed to get away and this was perfect. Will stay again for in the near future. You may want to look into the numerous little black bugs on the bathroom sink. Also, the toilet runs if you do not take the top off of the sink and pull the chain out from under the flapper. The smell of fresh paint and perhaps some staining reminded me of some work I had just completed on our back deck and home. 👍👍👍👍👍"

"Pecan Cottage was everything we could’ve hoped for. We booked this place a year in advance because of the backyard play area! It was amazing to entertain the little ones! The house is perfectly located to anything New Braunfels and Gruene offers. Book it. You won’t regret it!"

"Pros: lots of beds, lots of towels, pretty kitchen with plenty of pantry and fridge space. Cons: All but the owners room and bathroom had guaze/sheer curtains so no way to block the sun or prying eyes (for the bathroom). There were two bedrooms where the doors malfunctions. One due to the hinges coming off but never fixed and the two doors required special work to keep closed. The water never got warmer than a tepid warm. Overall, it served our purposes but it wasn’t in great shape. "

"this place is amazing they have a huge pool and the lake is within walking distance and the pool has a bar next to it and there was more amenities we didn't get a chance to try but hopefully can go back and stay longer"
