We have stayed at the st Regis two times prior to this recent stay. Our flight was cancelled to Toronto and the hotel we were staying at couldn’t accommodate us as our room was not available. Anyway, we decided to book the St Regis as we have enjoyed staying there in the past. This time however, the room was not to our standards at all. The shower flooded. Our rooms decor was really worn and dated. Their breakfast was lack luster. The bellmen and doormen were great. The front desk upon check in was not very welcoming. We wouldn’t be staying here again I’m afraid. For the price you pay vs the service you receive doesn’t balance out. The St Regis should be downgraded to a 4 star property rather than a 5.

Wonderful location for Broadway shows and dining! Old hotel, so some amenities were not available (no room mini fridge or microwave, no ice machine on floor), but, even so, the hotel had charm. Bed was hard and uncomfortable for us. Staff were friendly and very attentive to needs/requests. Our room was clean.
