"The property is too far out from transport, dining facilities, and too remote. The atmosphere and the views are nice but we felt we wasted a lot of time for the unavailabilty of what I mentioned, I wanted to book some short trips to areas in Athens but we the bus tour cannot pick and drop us back. ..."

"I had a 7 hr layover in Athens, booked Varaba, and was delighted with the sweet homey family atmosphere. No dinner but with a menu they ordered it in for me. Met a lovely Canadian family in the open eating courtyard. Felt so well taken care of, when I was exhausted."

Out of the way, good shuttle. 12 minutesto airport
"It was ok. I arrived late and had sent the hotel a message about 4 hours before, but they didn’t get it. I called for the shuttle but nobody answered. I took a taxi for 20 euros, arrived at the hotel a little after midnight, and the lobby was dark and door locked. I booked this hotel because it said ..."

Mati is a town recovering from the dreadful fires - the people haven't let it change their welcoming, friendly and open approach to visitors. cant wait to go back.
