"Had a call day before to ask what time we was checking in and give us useful information about the area and what to do. Lady at check in was super nice gave us more tips on the area. Room was warm and clean when arrived. Had kettle and microwave and a mini fridge, no cutlery or plates but that was fine with us. If walking down to the town, it is a very steep hill and takes 15 minutes for the unfit lol. Overall good stay and would stay again. "

"Loved the decor of the hotel, we stayed in Calke room. Hotel chosen as situated within easy walk to Heights of Abraham event we'd booked. The hotel's Restaurant wasnt fully operational but this is shown on their website. Some hot food was available though Fri & Sat evening and we had very tasty meals. But there are loads of other eateries nearby. Good choices for breakfast as well. All in all we had great weekend with lots to do in the area. We enjoyed the live music at Fish Pond pub short walk...

"Lovely four night stay at this wonderful guest house in Matlock Bath. Paula and Shaun were excellent hosts: greeted us on arrival, fed us well and shared local knowledge of things to do, where to walk and places to eat etc etc. We would definitely recommend. "
