"Great little cosy cottage in a good location. Real log fire in lounge but also has central heating. Stairs are bit on the steep side but then you get that in cottages of this age . "We stayed for a week during the Literary Festival. The flat is on the first floor and has an open plan kitchen/lounge/diner plus a bedroom and a separate bathroom. It is a reasonable size for two people and well equipped. There was one small error in the VRBO listing which shows a tumble dryer picture whereas the flat offers a clothes stand dryer instead. Not a big issue but one to bear in mind. Otherwise we had a great time. The flat is convenient for the High Street end of the town and...

Big hotel with great facilities

"This hotel has a lot of facilities and, for a large hotel, is pretty well located. Lots of free parking. As i write this (09/12/24) there is no EV charging but it looks like they are getting ready to install it. Breakfast is great and chilled out The bar can be a bit chaotic but thats down to the conferences held there, not the hotel. The leisure facilities are nice, great for relaxing after a long day! And you can buy swimming shorts there if you need them. The rooms are air conditioned, but the air con can be a little flakey. The only negative thing i have to say about the rooms is the kettles in the rooms dont hold a lot of water, but it is enough to make a cuppa."
