"The staff provided excellent service. The hot springs were beautiful and relaxing. Both the dinner and breakfast meals were plentiful, served in a nice semi-private setting, and offered items that were unique. My only complaint is that there was an unpleasant smell in the area. I believe may have been sulphur from the hot springs. It was not only at the property, but also at other places we visited in the area."

"We started in Japan for 12 days and our stay at Oyado Koto No Yume in Takayama was by far the best accommodations we’ve experienced. Modern Ryokan at its best. Location is within 10-15 minute walk from bus/train station. The place is immaculate ( all guests were required to leave their shoes upon entry to the hotel; staff puts them away for you and provide you with in house slippers). "We enjoyed our stay and the hotel staff could not have been more helpful (particularly reception). We very much enjoyed taking advantage of the Onsen! We paid extra for the evening dining experience which was not universally appreciated by our teenagers - but was a very interesting opportunity to appreciate a Kaiseki style meal. "
