An excellent location for staying in the Matsuyama Dogo Onsen area, the Yamatoya Honten is an older but very well-kept hotel with a very wide range of amenities at an affordable price. I was very surprised to find my room featured a massage chair! The public bath here receives its onsen water from the same source as the Dogo Onsen building itself and offers complimentary snacks and drinks after bathing. Breakfast came with either an option for traditional Japanese or Western, and was excellent.

Hotel with very good service & great food
The hotel is 3min walk to the Dogo Onsen & shopping street. All hotel buildings around this area are very well maintained & hence give a very clean & green feeling to all visitors.

가성비 좋은
가성비가 좋았어요. 1인실이었는데 인테리어나 그런 건 별로였지만 혼자서 자고 생활하기에는 무리가 없었습니다. 온천은 좋았고요. 지하라서 시야가 트이지는 않았지만 좁지 않고 씻기도 좋았어요. 그리고 료칸 로비에서 느껴지는 향과 은은한 소리도 좋았습니다. 식사는 조식은 별로였어요. 회가 있긴 했지만... 그 외에 먹을 게 별로 없었고요. 가이세키 석식은 첫날은 되게 별로였는데 둘째날은 또 맛있어서 신기했습니다. 그런데 그렇다고 아주 맛있는 것도 아니라서, 다음에 또 묵게 된다면 그냥 밖에서 사먹을 것 같아요. 사 먹을 데가 많고 편의점도 멀지 않아서요. 마사지도 받았는데 그냥 그랬어요. 싸지도 않았는데... 그만큼의 값은 못 하는 것 같았네요. 그래도 온천 앞 공짜 과자들도 좋고 로비도 괜찮고 온천 앞 공짜 발마사지기도 성능이 좋고 주변 거리나 공항버스 타는 곳, 그리고 전차역에서도 멀지 않아서 같은 가격이면 또 갈 수도 있을 거 같습니다.
