"We love staying at the Shell Island Resort during our visits to UNCW. It’s the best feeling in the morning, walking into the living room area and looking out through those big beautiful windows and getting the best view of the ocean. Then moving to the balcony sipping your morning coffee and watching the waves roll in. The facility has everything you’ll need during your stay - the amenities are great! The staff is always helpful and caring. We love it here! "

"Staff was very friendly. Room was clean however the couch and mattress were a little outdated from frequent use. May be time to upgrade some of them. Overall , not a bad stay. The worst thing was the constant smell of marijuana in the stairwell. I don’t care what you do outside but obviously someone wasn’t considerate indoors."
