The house is extremely comfortable and equipped, located in the vast territory of Mazzarino, an ancient feudal area of important archaeological sites.
It's situated in an ancient farmhouse built in 1898 and facing the internal courtyard, where there is a fountain in which flows fresh spring water.
It's surrounded by a typical countryside setting of Sicily, characterized by plots of land planted with olive trees, almonds and prickly pear.
The apartment is divided into two floors, is fully furnished, equipped with central heating powered by a practical fireplace (that warms up the radiators). There are also two air conditioners in the two bedrooms, for winter heating and summer cooling.
On the ground floor, there is a large double-height living room with fireplace and a comfortable L-shaped sofa, as well as a well-equipped kitchen with adjoining dining area. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms: the first one has a double bed, the second one has two single beds (joinable if requested) and a bunk bed. On the same floor, there are two bathrooms: the first one, dedicated to the master bedroom, with a bath (also for shower use) and the second bathroom with shower.
In front of the apartment is the beam of the manor farm, on which an enchanting starry sky shines in the evening; for the exclusive use of the guests there is an outdoor table for six people, a large umbrella and some deck chairs in front of the front door; for common use, instead, a tennis table, a barbecue and the swimming pool.
This year, in fact, we have also installed an outdoor swimming pool, a shower and a wooden solarium, surrounded by greenery next to the farm.
The farm is located in an area of scenic interest, it is surrounded by a typical Sicilian hinterland countryside characterized by plots of land cultivated with olive, almond and prickly pear trees. Interesting is the presence of "Monte Formaggio" which faces the farm and offers spectacular sunsets. The accommodation is ideal for relaxing holidays, enjoying the quiet and the magic of the place, and at the same time it is an excellent starting point for excursions and visits throughout Sicily. A few kilometers away, in fact, are the cities of Caltagirone, known for its ceramics, Piazza Armerina and the amazing Villa Romana del Casale (UNESCO site since 1997) with its splendid mosaics, then Aidone and Morgantina, the latter famous for its his Greek theater. Not far away is Agrigento with its Greek temples, the white cliffs of the Scala dei Turchi and the Farm Cultural Park of Favara.
