Palacete Thebussem is located in the rustic center of Medina Sidonia. This historic mansion dates from 1857 but has recently been completely renovated and modernized. The property has 3 beautiful bedrooms, each with a luxury bathroom with its own toilet. Layout: 2 spacious bedrooms with a double box spring (1 of which offers the possibility of splitting) and 1 tower room with a single bed. The large modern kitchen is fully equipped and in the living room with attached terrace you can relax after a day at the beach or city. From the house you have direct access to the swimming pool and the roof terrace where you can enjoy a beautiful view and the sunset. On the terrace is a beautiful lounge set with sun loungers. The property has its own entrance and is unique in terms of space, privacy and tranquility.
The building is located in a quiet street with free parking options around the corner. With its narrow streets and whitewashed houses you are in one of the oldest settlements in Europe. Upon entering the city one immediately feels at home in our beautiful house and the charming and peaceful environment.

A trip to Andalusia

A well equipped central town house in a beautiful hilltop village. Very easy to book and good communication with the owners and local manager. Medina Sidonia is within easy reach of beaches and towns such as Jerez, Cadiz, Arcos de la Frontera and Seville a little further away. Also less than an hour from Gibraltar airport. Would recommend and would return.

Lovely property to explore the area away from tourist trapz

A nicely renovated property over 5 levels with a small shared pool. You have to be OK with stairs to stay here. Well equipped but sadly the beds were very uncomfortable making a good nights sleep very difficult. Owners very responsive to communication. Medina Sidonia is a charming hilltop town within easy reach of beautiful beaches, Jerez and Cadiz

Beautiful townhouse with SHARED pool & terrace

As other reviewers have stated before, this is a very beautifully renovated and well-equipped townhouse in a somewhat dull but excellently located little town. You can reach Vejer, Conil, Jerez, Cadiz and even Sevilla in relatively short time by car. The house as such is nice and cool in summer. Also positive for families with teenage kids that there are 3 sleeping options. However, there is a major negative point that leads to a 4-star-only rating (and might have easily been 3 stars only): from the advertisement, it was not entirely transparent that the outside area (pool and rooftop terrace, the latter being the major attraction of the entire house) is shared with other parties. On the contrary, the owners explicitly praise praise the privacy of the site. Had we known this before, we would not have booked here. It may also not be a big problem if only nice neighbors such as the very kind British lady who owns one of the other apartments are present. But in our case, there was a family who loved to yell at each other all day, starting in the early morning in the pool which made sleeping impossible. Also, using the very small pool is rather inconvenient when people let their kids just jump on you while you're in the water. All in all, a mixed experience which could be avoided by more transparency in the ad.

Mooi appartement in het hart van de stad Medina Sidonia

Het was een prachtig mooi appartement en we hebben genoten. De centrale ligging van Medina Sidonia maakt dat het een prima plek is om de omgeving te ontdekken. Plaatsen als Jerez, Arcos en Vejer de la Frontera, Cadiz zijn plekken die wij bezocht hebben. Het was dan ook elke dag weer fijn om hierna weer terug te komen in het appartement. Zelfs hebben mijn vriendin en ik een duik genomen in het zwembad en genoten van het dakterras. Al met al een aanrader om hier te verblijven.

Fantastische Stadtwohnung

Unser Aufenthalt war herrlich, die Wohnung ist originell, verwinkelt auf verschiedenen Etagen mit vielen schönen Details eingerichtet. Besonders das Dachzimmer hat uns gefallen mit Blick bis zum Meer. Auch von der Terrasse aus hat man wunderschönen Weitblick bis nach Cadiz und zum Meer. Der Pool war etwas kalt (Oktober) aber super zum Abkühlen. Medina Sidonia eignet sich wunderbar als Ausgangspunkt, um die Umgebung zu erkunden. Das Meer, Cadiz, Jerez, Conil ...alles ist in ca. 30 Autominuten zu erreichen. Wir würden sofort wieder buchen. Wer Ferien in einem kleinen, authentischen Dörfchen sucht, liegt hier goldrichtig.

Oasis en la calor de Medina

Es un alojamiento precioso, tal cual aparece en las fotos. Cuidado con detalle, para que encuentres todo lo que necesitas durante la estancia. Aunque no somos de preparar grandes comidas cuando estamos de vacaciones, al viajar con niños tener la opción de preparar algo ligero es lo que nos decanta por los apartamentos como alojamiento. Y este tiene una de las mejores cocinas que nos hemos encontrado, está totalmente equipada. Todo el alojamiento es amplio, perfecto para una familia o grupos. Las terrazas y la piscina es un plus, que hace mucho más llevadero el calor tras un día en el sur. Nos ha encantado y lo recomendamos sin duda.

La casa es grande y agradable, no le falta detalle tanto de decoracion como de utensilios de cocina. Buscabamos tranquilidad y una ubicacion que nos permitiera acceder a las playas sin desplazarnos mas de 40 minutos. El pueblo precioso y todo genial.

Untainted Town Life

A true experience, away from the hustle and bustle of tour buses, tourist traps, the crowds ... life and tranquility of a small town in Spain, heaven !! A charming town and a great home !!! Truly unique experience and highly recommended. The “sites”, albeit limited, are all in walking distance, but well worth the steps. The sunset from the top balcony is breathtaking. Restaurants and grocery stores(s) all within walking distance. Loved the Medina-Sidonia experience!! Great home base for a day trip to Cádiz, and some sherry tasting in Jerez. Our host, Neil, must be commended for his hospitality. He allowed us to check-in early, drove with us to the car park, walked us back the the house, provided us with tons of tips, gave us a tour of the property... great stay.

Wunderschönes, außergewöhnliches Quartier in sehr schöner Lage

Wir haben den Aufenthalt im Palacete sehr genossen. Wenn wir von unseren Ausflügen zu den sehr schönen Dörfern und Städten in der Umgebung zurückkamen, haben wir uns immer sehr auf unser Domizil in Medina Sidonia und auch auf den schönen Ort gefreut. Das Haus ist ruhig, aber dennoch zentral in unmittelbarer Nähe des schönen Rathausplatzes gelegen. Gegessen haben wir jeden Abend im Restaurant Ortega, direkt am Rathausplatz mit Blick auf das Rathaus. Das Essen ist gut und die Bedienung sehr freunlich ( insbesondere der deutschsprachige Kellner ! ). Wir können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen ! Werner und Rolf aus Düsseldorf und Mönchengladbach
