What used to be the "Ambassador Hotel" is now breathing with new life! This historic property was fully renovated from head to toe (but with much of the original character still intact). The brick exterior and interior walls add a lot of charm to this perfectly located downtown property with parking!
Your apartment is 1 of 10 equipped with its own washer and dryer, a super-comfy queen-sized bed, smart TV, SUPERFAST WIFI, and the convenience of a delicious restaurant right downstairs.

From the historic exposed brick walls to your front door everything has been renovated! Equipped with your own kitchen (and all the cooking essentials incl. salt, pepper, and olive oil) a washer and dryer if you will be staying with us a bit longer, smart TV linked to WIFI. Cozy seating areas, a kitchen table to enjoy a home-cooked meal, a delicious meal from the restaurant downstairs, or use it as a space to get some work. You will feel right at home :)

The Ambassador by Midtown Stays has its own parking lot next to the hotel and every guest gets one dedicated parking space. You can walk to everything downtown Memphis has to offer, including the famous Beal St, The Orpheum Theater, FedEx Forum, Dozens of Restaurants & Bars, and The National Civil Rights Museum.

Your apartment has digital door locks so you can check in on your own! So meeting you there in person won't be necessary but we will be available 24/7 if you need anything at all just send us a quick message!

Your apartment is located right next to everything! Out front of the historic Ambassador hotel, you'll see the trolley passing by on a regular basis on S. Main street where many fantastic dining and entertainment options are located (including "South on Beale" the restaurant on the first floor of your building! No car necessary here (although you will have a dedicated parking place). You can walk across the street and catch some live music or walk a couple of minutes more and find yourself on the famous Beale St!

Hop on the trolley out the front door of your building, rent a bike or scooter from across the street, grab an Uber, or... if you are feeling adventurous, take a seat on one of the horse carriages that pass by regularly! Plenty of transportation options at your fingertips and a short uber ride to the airport (~15 min)

***Other things to note:
We are right above SOB Restaurant and there will be noise that's noticeable during their normal hours of operation of 11am-9pm (10pm on weekends). We feel the convenience and fun nightlife energy just adds to the experience, but if you need more peace and quite...just make sure you reserve a room on the 3rd floor (units 301-305). Refunds will not be given due to noise level in apartment, rent at your own risk...but trust us, you will love it!

➤ Upon booking, you will receive a rental agreement/check-in form that you are required to sign and return before your arrival

➤ If you are a local resident, you must contact us before booking

➤ Guests acknowledge that they will keep their noise level to a minimum after 10:00 pm; sound will travel through the walls if too loud.

➤ No parties or events allowed

➤ Guest must provide us with a valid ID that matches their credit card information

➤ Guest must provide us with a valid working phone number & guests listed on the reservation must report to us within 2 hours from the time of arrival if anything in regards to cleanliness does not meet their standards so we can help address the situation as soon as possible

➤ NO SMOKING or use of fire permitted in the rental; guest acknowledges that no "smoking" includes the use of vape pens and marijuana and "use of fire" includes the lighting of candles, incense, or sage. There will be a $200 charge per day of reservation if this rule is not followed

➤ There can not be any more than the allowed number of guests in or on the property at any one time, violation could lead to the immediate removal of all guests without a refund

➤ Late check-out fee of $50 (if not authorized) applies for check-outs after 11:00 am. We're sorry we have to charge this but we pay our housekeepers based on the agreed-upon checkout time and if they are unable to clean we still have to pay them

➤ We will place a small deposit hold on your credit card 2 days before your arrival to cover any accidental property damage that may occur and it will be released after your check out. If we fail to capture your security deposit, your reservation will automatically be cancelled

➤ We would like to inform you that a 4% credit card fee will be applied to any cancellations and refunds and we will follow the platform's cancellation policy

➤ Guests who make reservations for over 30 days must sign our standard lease agreement and agree to a background check before check-in (it will be provided before check-in)

➤ As part of our commitment to maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for all guests, we require a midterm cleaning for reservations lasting 30 days or longer. The midterm cleaning will take place on the 15th day of your reservation. This cleaning is mandatory and is designed to ensure the continued cleanliness and hygiene of the property

➤ The cleaning fee for the mandatory mid-stay clean will be deducted from your security deposit

➤ No pets allowed

➤ Excessively dirty units will incur an additional cleaning fee and will be evidenced with photos

➤ For your security and protection the property is equipped with an exterior camera

➤ Remember to take all your belongings when checking out. Left something? There's a $75 Mailing Fee (not including postage). We aim to return items within 7-10 business days, but please bear with us during busy times. Thanks for understanding!

➤ For security reasons, NO food or package deliveries inside our gated complexes or internal buildings. Please meet them outside the buildings or gates.

➤ If not following any of our rules forces us to refund or discount an upcoming or existing guest you will be liable for the costs

➤ If you were a previous/current guest and did not respect our house rules and our property, we have the right to decline your next reservation. Thank you for understanding

The perfect location, very comfortable and clean. The parking couldn't have been better. Had some miscommunication with the property managers saying we didn't sign papers and send ID when we had. It all worked out and we had a wonderful stay. We will stay there again when we return to Memphis.

Let me start off by saying that my wife and I are seasoned travelers, having traveled in 40+ countries and more than half of the USA. What we liked: great location, comfortable bed, and the place is clean. They provide a guidebook but it needs to be updated as some of the restaurants are closed down. What we did not like: Forget about checking in early or a late checkout. We arrived half hour early and knocked on the door many times. No answer. I texted them and asked to check in and was told they are still getting the place ready. Not true! The cleaning people had come and gone. I asked for a 1 hour late checkout given that it was my birthday. I was told that they had to get place ready for next guest. I had checked VRBO and other sites where their places are listed and noone was checking in for the next two days. They said NO because someone might do a last minute check-in but I could pay for an extra night (what gall)! They have 10 apartments in the building and no more than two parking spots were ever used. We have stayed in hundreds of rentals and this was the FIRST time I was met with such a corporate 'NO' answer. Unfriendly and unfortunate! They need to be more flexible and show some southern hospitality. Other things, no towels or paper towels in kitchen so not able to dry hands or dishes. Bath towels are very small, almost kid size. Larger bath towels please. Also, no place to unpack clothes; no dresser and only 4 hangers. Really! You can do better!!!!

Went for my husbands 40th birthday. Apartment was clean and plenty room for us two. Walking distance to Beale St and definitely worth the walk. We went several times during our stay. If we're in the area again we'll definitely book here.

First time to Memphis
My husband and I traveled to Memphis for the first time and absolutely loved this city! The apartment was far better than any hotel in price for the amount of space. We walked to Beale Street, the Peabody, civil rights museum, many restaurants, and even a local grocery store for supplies! The host provided earplugs and masks to help ease any concerns about outside noise or lights and we slept great! If we return we will definitely stay again and recommend to anyone else traveling here. 10/10 trip!

WONDERFUL
You can not go wrong staying at this lovely apartment. It was within walking distance to the National Civil Rights Museum, Beale Street, the Peabody Hotel, and other sites. It is located on the trolley line. We found it to be safe in the evenings, although we were not out too late either.

Pleasant stay in Memphis
Having never been to Memphis before, I scoured the various booking sites reviewing neighborhoods, hotels, and rentals. Finally settled on this unit based on the reviews and so pleased we did. Check-in and access to the building was easy, parking was convenient and felt secure. The neighborhood was very walkable to restaurants and attractions. Beale street was close enough to walk to but we were away from all of the craziness. Was disappointing to see that many storefronts were vacant and after talking to some locals, there has been a lot of turnover in the neighborhood. That being said, the unit was exactly like it was described. Shower pressure was strong, bed was comfy and the air conditioning was great. Our own little oasis from the record-breaking heat going on outside. Would definitely recommend this location for folks to stay.

Good experience for my wife and I. Very clean. Only issue was the lights outside the bedroom windows make it quite bright to sleep. Heavy curtains instead of blinds would be helpful there. They were thoughtful enough to supply eye covers if you can sleep with those.

An excellent place to stay in Memphis
I found this property to be an enjoyable stay during my visit to Memphis. It’s central to many museums and restaurants and a short walk to the famous Beale St bars/restaurants. As a woman traveling independently I appreciated the building had a locked entrance and was well lit throughout. It is a bit noisy due to its downtown location however I didn’t find it to be a problem overnight. Would definitely choose it again over hotels in the area.

Excellent location and wonderful place
Absolutely loved this place and staying here for the weekend. We were in town to go to Graceland for my birthday. It was in a perfect location and we were able to walk to everything except Graceland. Just a 5-6 minute walk to Beale Street, 12 minute walk to The Peabody and just a block or two walk to numerous restaurants and bars. Having our own parking spot was wonderful! The condo was well appointed with a very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom and kitchen/living area. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely stay here. Loved this place!!!

This place was awesome! It is a very short walk to Beale Street, the Blues Hall of Fame, National Civil Rights Museum, Gus's Fried Chicken and so much more. The response to any questions or concerns was fast, efficient and friendly. The unit is clean, quiet and newly refurbished. Very comfortable. We will stay here again when visiting Memphis.

Location, location, location
We stayed 2 nights at this location. It is 3 blocks from the famous Beale street festivities. It also has several places to eat within the block, especially the the bedrock Cafe (great waffle meals). Overall great place to stay.

Great Apartment & Location
This apartment is in Midtown aka the Artist District. Really close to several good restaurants. Lots of mom & pop shops, no chain anything. About an 7 minute walk to Beale Street and 10 minutes to the FedEx Forum. It is on the third floor and stairs only. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to be close to all the action!

This is a very nice location for accessing Beale Street and the surrounding areas. Easily walkable and also have a trolley that runs right outside the door. Some reviews mentioned noise and lights at night. While they are present, they weren’t a big deal to me. Nicely updated apartment. Would definitely stay again.

Great Place
The experience was so much better than a Hotel! A reserved personal parking spot is waiting for you when you arrive and is just steps from the entrance. Just use your codes to get into the front door and the unit. It really is that easy. The unit was much bigger than I expected and was nicely furnished with everything you really need. Great internet connectivity….full size washer and dryer., etc. Best part is the location if you want to be in the center of the action - close to Beale St and all sorts of great restaurants, just a short walk. Highly recommended!
