"Where to start - the home is a stunning beachy blue at the end of a quiet road. You have direct access to the rocky beach where you can turn over rocks to find all kinds of sea life (lots of little crabs) and collect shells and seaglass (I would recommend shoes). Note the water is not deep here so you can wade out forever - it is not sandy, more muddy and rocky, so boots may be easier - but we loved laughing at each other in our flipflops. Back to the house - there is a stunning back yard...

When we got to the rental and parked, the car died again. I was able to flag down someone who worked for the golf course who said Heather's son had a battery pack. He let us use it to jump the car and after about 30 min, we were able to get it started with the help of the first employee and two guests - a father and son. They were so very...

Cozy Cottage House on Willapa Bay

"We always wanted to spend some time on the Coast when there was a chance of stormy weather. We were not disappointed on this trip. Our amazing house was situated just a few feet from a lovely large rock breakwater on Williams Bay just a short ten minute drive from the fishing town of Westport. We experienced practically every kind of weather imaginable from brilliant sunshine to strong winds filling the Bay with white caps. My Son and I surf fished for Ocean perch during low tide tide just steps from the back porch deck. The house was clean and bright, cozy warm, and had everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a quiet setting with plenty of interesting things to see and do close by. We look forward or coming back regularly. "

I don’t think people stay in this property very often because the heat was not on when we arrived (because the thermostat needed new AAA batteries), the gas fireplace didn’t work, and the oven wouldn’t heat up. These are easy fixes that would make the property exceptional given the location and if you want to access this part of the Washington Coast. "

Charming, Rustic Log Home on Edge of South Fork River

Relaxing getaway

"This place is definitely a rustic cabin. The property is very spacious and well kept. The beds were comfy and it was nice and quiet there. The fireplace is beautiful, but there was no hatchet to make kindling or fire starter. Once you get it going though, it’s very nice. The stairs to the loft are kind of steep, but we managed to get ourselves up and down ok ( we’re not spring chickens anymore 😊). I’f you are only having coffee there, you’ll be fine, but we like to cook our own meals when we rent a VRBO this kitchen is quite small and crowded. The cook pans were great, but, there were not enough glasses and mixing bowls etc. for what we needed. The setting is beautiful especially when you are sitting in the hot tub! Having the stream running through the property was also very nice. All things considered, we really enjoyed our four nights there. "
