A nice & comfortable alternative to dull hotels
My family and I enjoyed the stay at this property. Beds were comfortable, hot showers and plenty of bath water for a long soak after walking up Pen Y Fan which is just down the road.
Kitchen well equipped, lots of space at the dining table. Stairs to the bedroom are steep which is normal for this type of cottage. There is a lovely outdoor space at the back. The owners went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right for us.

Clean, modern and spacious for 6
This was really good value. A modern, very clean home with plenty of room for the 5 of us and very warm. One even got a double bed to themselves. A lovely patio area for the summer. I thought street parking might be difficult but we never once struggled. We have a big car and still managed to turn it round easily in the street. The kitchen was well equipped and all colour coordinated in light blue. It was also great to have a table that fitted us all round and the sofas were comfy. We were easily able to log into Amazon Prime on the TV. The only very minor issues we had was that one bed was incredibly squeaky - even if we moved a toe! We had an allen key with us so tightened it and it was fine after that. There is a stair gate at the top of the stairs. Great for stopping pets getting upstairs or keeping kids safe, but we felt it was a bit precarious and a potential trip hazard. A different style gate may be better. We came to visit family in Aberdare and it was well placed for this. We visited them, also Caerphilly Castle, Henrhyn waterfall, Cefn-Coed viaduct and Pontsticill reservoir.
