Hidden Pond Gong Suite - Luxury , Pet Friendly, with Hot Tub and Private Beach

Located in Metchosin, just 30 minutes to Victoria or Sooke. Hidden Pond's luxury Gong Suite is the perfect romantic or family getaway for anyone looking for peace and tranquility. Spacious, two rooms with private entrance, basic kitchen facilities, luxury king bed, sofa bed, tastefully furnished with two sitting areas overlooking an amazing forest view makes this perfect for a couple or family. The suite includes the use of a hot tub, firepit, and just a short walk to our private beach, spring-fed swimming pond, orchard, and forest trails. The suite has a full-size bathroom with tub and shower, Air conditioning, Internet, TV, and basic kitchen (BQ with side-burner, kettle, coffee maker, breakfast grill, toaster oven, microwave, full-size fridge, sink and basic and spices and kitchen supplies. ) Pet-friendly and short and long stay rates are available.

Please note this suite has stairs and it is a walk down to the pond , so this might not be a great option for anyone who has mobility issues.

This home was more than we expected! Jo-Ann and Rob were the greatest hosts! The private suite has the finest details of luxury and peace. The hosts left delicious pastries and provided coffee which was much needed after our long day of travel. We highly recommend these accommodations!!

What an amazing stay! There were treats waiting for us and we were well cared for and welcomed by Bruce.The decor is uplifting, giving a positive energy - in large part to the incredible gong gracing the living space. We arrived in the pouring rain and yet Joanne was outside to welcome us and ensure we knew where to park to best suit the front door access. We were thrilled when we walked in, the photos didn’t do the property justice as it was so much better than we had imagined it was going to be. Our coffee and baileys on the couch overlooking the wooded backyard quickly became a morning ritual - it was such a peaceful way to start our day! The muffins, cookies, fruit and juice was an added touch as were the other little things that made us feel very comfortable in our ‘home away from home’. We would really love to go back in the summer months to utilize the beautiful pond; it was very inviting. Thank you Robert and Joanne for giving us a place to ‘break up with stress’, now we start dreaming until next time.

Beautiful property, excellent hosts!
I recently stayed in the Gong Suite for three nights, and it was a wonderful experience. The room was clean and very comfortable, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. The highlights for me were the pond and nature trails, which provided ample places for me to walk and exercise my 5-year-old pup. If you are in the Metchosin area, Hidden Pond is the place to stay. I definitely am planning to return next year!

Spacious hideaway!
This property is a neat gem, situated a 15 minute drive from Goldstream Park in a quiet rural location. Great hosts, willing to accomodate our rescue dog and our funky schedule over the weekend. The bed was really comfy and we had everything we needed and more. This accomodation is well outfitted with all you could wish for. Thank you Jo-Ann & Rob for the comfy stay!

Good for the soul
My husband, our 2 dogs, and I came over from the mainland for 2 nights. We stayed in the Gong Suite. The owner was there to greet us and give us the lay of the land. The suite was immaculate and much bigger than we expected. There were muffins and cookies left for us as well as basics in the fridge like water and cream for coffee. We were not expecting all that and it was greatly appreciated. The property is beautiful. It’s peaceful and has a lovely walking trail. The pond is a little slice of heaven. We are so glad we found this place. We will be back for sure.

This place is located in beautiful Metchosin and is a great family place. With the fire pit and pond, our grandkids had a fantastic time. The kitchen is well stocked for those who like to cook. All the comforts of home and more!

Wonderful stay
My sister and I stayed in the Gong suite while doing some ebiking and exploring the area. It was a great home base for us. Rob was a friendly and helpful host, the suite was beautiful and spacious, and the property was very peaceful. There was a secure place to park our bikes, and easy access to the Galloping Goose Trail just down the road. We enjoyed relaxing down by the pond at the end of our day. What a lovely spot! Also much appreciated: comfy sofa and chairs in the living room, separate sleeping areas, (the king size bed is in one room, the pull out couch in another), and the muffins, tea and treats waiting for us on our arrival. All in all a wonderful place to stay!

Hidden pond is a peaceful spot getaway perfect for dogs
We loved our stay and found our host Jo-Anne to be very responsive and helpful to all our needs. The pond is perfect for a family to cool down in that heat and your dog will be delighted. We stayed in the Gong suite which has a great view and is spacious. The only negative is the kitchen is very limited so difficult to prep and cook but still workable.

My husband, 15 month old daughter and sister travelled to the island for a Wedding and we were truly blown away by this GEM! We were so grateful for every little thing this property offered including and not limited to the **Wonderful Hosts, cleanliness, design of the suite, fruit, snacks and beverages, stocked kitchen with all the gadgets, comfy beds and beautiful linens, gorgeous views, an incredible private beach, walking trail, a hot tub... the list goes on! Perfect for a couples getaway or family vacation! We'll definately be referring all our family and friends to the Hidden Pond!
