"From our first correspondence with Maryam (and the photos on the site), we knew exactly what to expect - and it was exactly what we wanted. Does this place have tons of bells and whistles? No. But it's in a comfortable street, within a comfortable walking neighborhood (walking distance to public transit), and has all the amenities you need to feel right at home in Montreal. (When we told friends where we were staying, they were excited by the proximity to all Montreal has to offer - without the hassle or price tag of being in trendier areas.) We had to cut our stay short, and Maryam was incredibly understanding. We're already hoping to stay there again in the future!"
"It’s a beautiful place and the host Majid communicates well. I originally booked it for myself and a friend, but when life happened I had to pass it on to two other friends to go instead. They had a lovely time. Just make sure you’re 100% sure of all your trip details before you make a reservation because it’s tough to make any changes afterwards. I learnt that the hard way."
"The hotel was more of a hostel. But the guests were generally quiet and I did not see any of them much. The stairs to enter were steep and the room was fairly basic.
But everything was clean and there were kitchen and laundry areas that were helpful. The building is located in a convenient area with many restaurants and markets within walking distance. There are quite a few homeless people in the area, but it still seemed safe and family friendly. It was a quick drive to downtown and other sights as well. "
