CAUTION! The booking is a room in a SHARED apartment with a SHARED bathroom, similar to a hostel. We booked a double room with balcony and private bathroom. What we got instead was a bedroom in a shared apartment where the bathroom was shared with other guests in the same unit. There are 2 other bedrooms (up to 4 other guests) in the unit. The photos made it look like the unit was private and there was never any mention of being in a shared apartment. We were in bed when suddenly someone opened the door and walked into the unit. They were as surprised as we were that it's shared. Absolutely terrible experience. After we complained the management company changed us to another building one block away where we had an ensuite bathroom but again the unit was SHARED. We are travelling from abroad and only after they moved us they told us that in order to get into the building we have to call them every time to come and open up. This is a significant problem. Unless you have a local cellphone plan, you can basically not get back into the building when you leave.

Estimado equipo de atención al cliente de Expedia, Quiero expresar mi insatisfacción con la experiencia que tuve recientemente al realizar una reservación a través de su plataforma. Reservé una suite de un departamento esperando algo similar a un hotel. Sin embargo, al llegar me informaron que mi reserva había sido cambiada, alegando que no la confirmé directamente con ellos. Esto me resultó extraño, ya que hice la reservación por medio de Expedia, no con el administrador del departamento. Además, me reubicaron en un departamento distinto y de menor calidad. Otra molestia fue el trato en ambos lugares por parte de los guardias de seguridad, quienes fueron groseros y no permitían el acceso sin que alguien bajara por nosotros, lo que resultó ser una gran incomodidad. En cuanto al cuarto, no era lo que esperaba: me asignaron un espacio compartido con otras dos personas, lo cual no estaba claramente especificado en la descripción. Para colmo, también tuve que compartir el baño, algo que no esperaba y que considero lo peor en este tipo de situaciones, ya que yo reservé esperando un cuarto privado con baño propio. Además, la cama estaba en condiciones pésimas. Era extremadamente dura e incómoda, lo cual afectó gravemente mi descanso. Esto solo empeoró la experiencia general de mi estadía. El tema del pago también fue incómodo. Aunque había varias opciones, tuve que hacer el pago directamente en el cuarto, lo cual no me resultó cómodo. Y deben deben devolverme mi dinero.
